I honestly should have gone with the reviews I saw online but decided I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Boy was I wrong!. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going downhill rapidly but I still kept pushing forward. No one greeted us when we got in as one gentleman was on the phone ; though he made eye contact that was about as far as that conversation was going to go. My greeting fell on deaf ears as it seemed I was greeting myself. Since it was our first time there I had expected at least a good afternoon what can we do for you. Instead I got another gentleman who I figured was a cashier (ha-ha he was standing by the register), who looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here and though I indicated it was our first time here and wanted to know the process; he had no intention to provide any further assistance than ringing up our order. Even McDonalds has better customer service. I stumbled and bumbled through placing our order and I definitely left no tip. The service was horrible to say the least. First horrible experience I have had an Asian restaurant and there are quite a few in the area that are much better options. This was not even the fast food of Asian dining; it was below mediocre. Now on to the food…disappointing at another level. The rice tasted as though it had been cooked from the day before, and the slivers of cucumber were certainly not fresh. The chicken was fried to the right level of crispy and was fresh for sure, so I can give them a 10/10 for the chicken. The general tso was a sure miss, rice tasted stale and the chicken was meh. I have had authentic dishes and this was not it. One of my son’s had the ramen with salmon and it was a chunk of salmon boiled in water and dropped over the noodles. Flavor was mission on all levels. $70 poorer and highly disappointed but know it will not happen again. Location needs to work on customer service and just service in general.

I’m originally from Dallas, TX. Ever since I moved to Atlanta I’ve always missed a really good Thai restaurant who has amazing Penang curry, and after I’ve dined here I think my search was over as I’ve found my fav Thai restaurant in Atlanta!!! Definitely better than Tuk Tuk as well in terms of prices and overall service!! This location is in a shopping strip so there are tons of parking around it. As you walk in, you’re warmly greeted by the cashier who takes care of you right away and also helps you choose what to get depending on what you’re in the mood for. Also, YAY to no lines!!!! (I went 15 mins before closing time though..) As I said, I was on a hunt to find the best Penang curry so that’s what I opted for, without looking much. All entrees are around 8-9.75$ which I thought was a bargain! I had ordered Penang curry with steamed rice (spice level 3/3) along with one crab and cheese spring roll. Food arrived in less than 7 minutes which was a surprise! Best part? Their portion size is HUGE! One is good for two people or two meals! The curry had all the ingredients perfectly and unlike other places, I could taste the coconut milk!! Spring roll was great too for its value! I WAS SO HAPPY!!! I am DEF coming back to this place since right down the road for me serving the best Thai food in town!

I always stick to what I am familiar with and should've stuck to this motto with this location. I always go to the Akers Mill location. There is DEFINITELY a difference in the cooks and also the staff. I assumed the food would taste the same since it's a chain restaurant but I couldn't have been more wrong. At the Akers Mill location the food is made fresh and surely tastes like it. The food here tastes pre-made waiting for customers to arrive; the fried chicken is cold, wet and soggy, veggies soggy too. I'm just glad I didn't bring anyone to THIS location to introduce them to TinDrum. I talk about the food so much but it's the Akers Mill location that I need to be very specific about suggesting if I do tell anyone about it. Waste of money because I'm still hungry. Our bowls are full and barely touched. Another great thing about the Akers Mill location, the staff and manager actually come and ask if you're satisfied with the food quality which my answer the is always yes. These people here must've known better than to come ask us because we don't have good...
