If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I went to Cosmic Tubing at Ski Bowl East for New Year’s, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. While the concept is fun, the execution was a nightmare.

First, you’re hit with extra parking fees, which is ridiculous considering you’re already paying almost $40 per person (kids and adults) for just a 1.5-hour session. For a family of five (two adults and three kids under 8), I spent $200 for chaos and regret. The lines were insane—we got to ride maybe 6-8 times because we were stuck in lines the entire time. People were cutting, it was chaotic, and there was zero order. Sessions should at least be two hours for the price they’re charging.

The staff? Beyond rude. They barked instructions at us like we were a problem just for being there. A couple of staff members were kind, but most were abrupt and made the whole experience uncomfortable. My child wanted to take the tube downhill, and instead of handling it kindly, they made us feel stupid with their tone. It was embarrassing and frustrating.

Adding to the disaster, there was no DJ as advertised—total false advertising. And when we left, it became an even bigger nightmare. A massive, unruly crowd of 150-200 people lined the road, throwing ice balls and fireworks at vehicles. My husband got out to confront them after my kids were hit in the face by ice balls, only to get hit himself. The scene was chaos—cars were getting dented and damaged, and Ski Bowl did absolutely NOTHING to control the situation. Calling the cops didn’t help either.

This was my first and last visit to Ski Bowl. The entire experience—from overpriced sessions, rude staff, and complete lack of safety—was infuriating. Don’t waste your money or time here. If you value your sanity, stay far away. One star is generous. If I could leave zero, I would. Ps I attached a photo of the ice ball that was thrown inside my...

We were able to reserve our tickets online (a week ahead) for a 2hr snow tubing experience for 2 adults. I highly recommend booking even earlier if possible. They also had an option for snow tubing after dusk but those tickets were already sold out. They are operating at a very low capacity to ensure social distancing. So definitely helps to book in advance!) We left from Portland city at 11:00 am, stopped for gas and a quick bite on our way and barely made it on time for our 2:30-4:30pm slot. Not sure if the traffic is normally this bad, or if something went wrong that day, but definitely do check the traffic conditions and be prepared for this! Download offline maps, there was no network coverage for most of the journey! Upon reaching the destination, finding a parking spot was very easy (probably for not operating at full capacity!) Clear signs marked everywhere, so did not have to look around or panic. Staff were not in uniform but they all seemed ever ready to help with any info. You can spot them with their walkie talkies! Just went to the self service kiosk and printed our tickets. You can zip tie the large end of your ticket to your jacket or some place easily accessible for staff to scan each time you take the lift! Save the smaller end of your ticket in your pocket. The tubes were uv sterilized. Picked one tube and took the escalator to the top. Ask for instructions if it is your first time! Absolutely loved the experience! Highly recommend this place. Will visit again! Good social distancing practices followed religiously! Kudos to the team. All their hard work was very evident. We had so much fun! Restrooms available on-site were clean. Masks/proper face coverings are compulsory at all times. There’s a cute little waffle stall too! It smelled great but we already had our sandwiches and beverages packed at Welches, so we’ll try the waffles...

Five stars all the way! Simply amazing! I loved it, my kids loved it. A completely must try for any family. We brought our kids here for snow tubing and we had a blast. So much fun.

Picking up online tickets We hard hard time trying to get our online tickets. Their is a white kiosk/ container, where you can print your tickets. Simply get the code from your phone and just scan it on one of the stations. Its tricky as the computers don’t really seem to work. They weren’t clickable. Once you scan your codes, it will print the tickets right away. If you have more than one ticket, make sure you are printing all the tickets. Once you have printed the tickets, the tickets have little punch holes on the top. You can use the zip ties to simply hang it on your clothes. They work as the passes.

Tubing with kids Just FYI, you can ride with your little ones as they have tubes for two people. Little ones go on the front, if they are young, they have to be at least 36”. And they can just sit inside the tube. If they are bigger they can sit on top of the tubes having their feet sit outside.

Overall, amazing experience! We can come here during summer as well. They have similar...
