The legendary Main Place Mall.... Before covid-19 this was THE mall you had to know. It amazes me how very cool this mall was; the movie theater had matinee at $2 per movie and $1 hot dog!!!! You simply couldn't beat that, in fact I double dare you to. Weekends, Macy's and JCPenney are the kings of their domain. But inside the mall you have a broad eclectic variety of shopping stores one of my very favorite: H&M which if you ask me is underrated! Clothing here is in a league of its own with nothing to envy Macy's or JCPenney at a much more beautiful prices!!! Check it out and challenge what I just said; i dare you again. You counted with the always awesome Hot Topic, a Vans store, Mac, Guess, Abercrombie and Fitch a food court a Starbucks, Wi-Fi lounge, CPK, another one of my favorites Wokano, Apple bee's, Round One for the arcade aficionado, Panini café simply a must. But COVID hit and the mall went through a revolution of changes and adaptation.... I am proud to say that even with a stressful pandemic this mall offers an absolute (and very necessary) proper and satisfying shopping therapy.... Prices are on the pricey side if you don't know how/where/when to look and locate the must haves for your hearts desire. However, with a little bit of effort and research the Main Place Mall would and WILL accommodate to YOUR budget and not the other way around. I would like to utilize this opportunity to encourage you to shake the stress, the tiredness, the annoyance and the negative vibes away, bring the family, kids, GF, BF, friend, or if you are like me, a solo shopping experience is exactly what I need. Even on a budget, this mall offers a decent window shopping strategy for your soul to leave the drama behind and lose your uptight-ness with those cute jeans, that gorgeous sweater and that pair of shoes my spirit is been nagging me about. If you disagree with me, I would like to hear your...
Read moreI only go here to charge my car. The few times I've actually attempted to shop in this mall have all been bad experiences. List of experiences below. A random guy attempted to sell me stolen items. I admittedly assumed they were stolen before confirming to which I felt bad for until seeing him being arrested. The mall itself and the restrooms are always dirty and disgusting. Last but not least and this was the final incident for me. I was harrassed by the security team in this mall for walking around the mall and taking a picture of a flower outside of the mall with my phone. So here's the story. I was walking around the mall just shopping around while waiting for my car to charge. I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there as if I was being followed, probably because I kept seeing the same girl in every store. So I finally leave the mall and there she is again walking right by my side. I finally decide to turn and say hello let something because I was just uncomfortable and at that very moment she quickly turns around and walks away. So I'm just like okay that was weird and move on. While walking towards my car I notice a security guard on a bike circling in me and another in a truck following me. I finally confront them to which they accuse me of plotting to rob the mall and say there were complaints on me for taking a photo outside. Meanwhile 10 other people around me are also taking photos. Anywho the staff in this mall are unprofessional and now I only go here to...
Read moreThis mall is okay, I guess. There is a Macy's and a J. C. Penny. The other stores are pretty standard fare for a mall serving the demographics of people that can be found shopping here. The WiFi Lounges and massaging chairs offer a comfortable, clean and free place to take a load off and recharge one's self and also one's cellphone. Protip: all of the electrical outlets that are all over this property are functional and working except for the outlets on some of the light poles outside when the lights are out during the day time. A few of the security personnel here are violent and confrontational. I have seen them physically harm a man and take his bike away. There are sometimes dirty looking homeless people at this mall and I have seen security use excessive force to make these people leave on multiple occasions. I understand that it is an undesirable situation to have these people hanging around as other guests are sometimes scared of them and they can really be an eyesore. That doesn't mean that physical harm should be brought upon them by the people whose job it is to keep everyone safe at the mall though. It's pretty messed up. If you can manage to avoid the wrath of predatory security forces this is a pretty good place to shop, eat and do mall-stuff. There isn't anything extraordinary about this place but it is still better than a lot of the other malls...
