Superior Grocers — Attraction in Santa Ana

To come on a pinch it's a good place. My main gripe is that the produce is either gonna be ripe in 2 days, or in 2 weeks. Another gripe I have is that it's kinda sticky, especially the shopping carts and the produce. Don't ask why because I don't know either. The meat area is actually fairly reasonable f a i r l y. The mexican import goods are fair priced if you want them. It has a good layout for a grocery store. Of course you have the obligatory dairy and meat in the back. The bakery is in the front which is cool. I mean it's a grocery store that is always packed so you gotta give them the benefit of the doubt. When I have to go to a grocery store in a pinch in the area, it's fine. But unless you want Mexican imports or soda or meat, I say you should just go to Super King, Aldi, or Smart and Final if you need a grocery store...

If Superior higher ups care at all about the image of their brand, they would fire every single employee that works here and start with a brand new team that is actually excited to work. All of them are rude, pushy, lazy, and ignorant. They rush you out of the store, out of isles, out of their way, etc. I can’t say I’ve had a positive experience at this location in several years now. I used to like the bread here and I went here almost on a daily basis but ever since the pandemic, the bread hasn't been the same. I understand the quality of some products may have had to lower -- but the bread is an insult. The bread is so dry and hard, I'm sure it's been put out for atleast 3 days.
