Alameda Park is one of the best kid friendly parks 805 has to offer!! This park features a massive wooden playhouse where kids can run and chase and play hide and seek. It has slides swings and is shaded by century old plum trees that were planted at the citiesās inception. This park is sectioned off in three blocks. Kids world is on one block, the Japanese/Botanical Garden across the street and the third block sits adjacent with a old world pagoda right smack in the middle for music and live events. I was slightly uncomfortable letting the kids run around because there were a lot of homeless loitering or sleeping and I wasn't sure if the kids would accidentally run into them while running. It sounds like the park across the street with the duck pond is much nicer so we'll check that out next time. Don't plan to return to this one...
