Villa & Vine — Attraction in Santa Barbara

I cannot begin to express how happy we were with our experience at Villa & Vine. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Villa & Vine over Memorial Day weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. The weather, the venue, the food, the drinks, everything was awesome! Kristi and Dimitri as well as the entire staff really made sure that our day went off without a hitch. We had our first visit last year and Kristi showed us around the space, shared details about packages and pricing, offered us wine and allowed us to check things out without being overly aggressive or pushy. The space either speaks to you or it doesn't and it immediately spoke to us. We followed up weeks later to confirm everything and set our tasting. The tasting was a blast and we had a chance to work through our vision for our reception. We also got to spend some time with Dimitri working on our specialty cocktails.

Kristi has great relationships with vendors throughout the area and was able to point us to a florist and planner who worked with our budget. She was so helpful throughout the process and never made me feel like I was being cheap when I looked for ways to control costs. She worked closely with my florist and planner and I found out that they even talked offline and texted one another late night about our wedding. She was great about checking in and following up on questions. We had multiple conversations along the way which was critical since I lived 2 hours away. Now that's service.

The day itself went off without a hitch. Everything was well organized and just beautiful. The staff was super attentive and even accommodated some of my guests who had special dietary needs that I hadn't planned for with a special meal. Our guests were blown away with the venue, drinks and food from the yummy appetizers to the incredible meal (lamb chops and chicken). We opted for family style service. Everything was so good and there was plenty for everyone.

Finally, the venue was just beautiful. Market lights were included with the venue and created a romantic atmosphere after the sun went down. We had garlands and lots of greenery throughout the space which really complimented the decor. We rented table cloths, chairs, cocktail tables and pillows for the lounge area. Everything else was included with the package which was great. We rented table cloths because the ones that were included with the package did not extend to the floor.

As a child, I grew up with a lot of vegetarian and vegan friends and relatives. I always had a passion for any and all food, as did my fiance, but I was stunned at how hard it was sometimes for friends with dietary restrictions to find excellent food when they went out to restaurants. When we were choosing our wedding venue, then, we wanted to make sure that there would be incredible food options for even our most diet-restricted of guests. Villa & Vine was able to deliver on this and thensome - meat eaters got the best chicken I've honestly ever had in my life, incredible pulled pork, chicken quesadillas, what-have-you, and while the vegetarians and vegans in the crowd, who are used to leaving weddings hungry after eating maybe a salad and some steamed vegetables, received huge portions of stuffed peppers and were able to enjoy the dinner portion of the event just as much as anyone else. Our appetizer station of flatbreads and a variety of mediterranean dips impressed even our guests who grew up in the Mediterranean region! Villa & Vine was excellent to work with in every regard, but I want to especially thank them for taking all dietary needs into consideration and helping us make sure that every single guest was able to enjoy an incredible meal!
