Loreto Plaza — Attraction in Santa Barbara

We go for the 7 Day Nursery, not for Gelson's although many people like Gelson's it's just too far for us. The nursery has a good selection especially of citrus trees and some very nice clay pots of all sizes. The Verizon store is also in the plaza which means occasional trips there as well. The Chaucer's bookstore is perhaps The only remaining one in all of Santa Barbara and a long-standing anchor. Finally there is Renaud's in the back corner; but of course there is another one on Coast...

The Gelsons market is the anchor for this plaza. On one end is 7day nursery and the other has a classic old restaurant, Harry's. There is also a local bookstore and other small stores. Parking can be tight but it has two different ways to enter. 2023...stores reopen, Gelsons and Harry's still rock. Renaud's is always busy! This is a great local "mall". This is a nice shopping plaza, that has a really nice gelson's, and some good restaurants. Which includes Harry's plaza Cafe which has great cocktails and comfort food. Then across the way is Renault s French bakery which has delicious coffee and baked good selections. Also gelson's cells big goods from the bakery.
