Poor Clare's is a beautiful church, the sisters do all of the music, and the Franciscans preside at the mass. The masses are very traditional and the crowd is usually older people or family's with young children. The Poor Clare's are cloistered so they sing off to the side, out of sight, they do beautiful music, though at times it is very difficult to hear them. The homilies are filled with joy and great knowledge. The chapel is small but surrounded with beautiful stained glass of Saints. If you are up any before 7 and are looking for a humble experience with Christ, pop into the 7 AM mass any day of the week. Sundays after mass they leave the Blessed Sacrament exposed during the day. It is a very small and humble chapel and a great place to hear the word of God in a different light. They have 7am daily mass so if your up early you can give it a go. To be there early in the morning and witness the sunrise in the quiet and stillness of the Basilica was such a breathtaking experience.
