My phone died on the pier, need a charger so I paid cash for the wire and wall adapter. The owner plugged it into my phone to show it fits, but didn’t have an outlet available to check if it works. He mentioned Bubba Gump was the closest place to charge, I tried charging it on random corners of the coffee shop and icecream place but it wouldn’t work. Figured it was the outlet and not the $25 charger. Went to Bubba Gump and had a bite while it charged, no luck still.
Finally, desperate for a ride back to my hotel in downtown, I head to the bars on Ocean and try charging there to see if I could either get it working again or grab a taxi. Still no luck charging.
