This review is long overdue – In 2015, I took my engagement ring to Ken at Design Jewelers in hopes he could fix what a well-known jeweler downtown tried to pass off as a “sizing” but was a complete distortion of my ring. After being left in tears from that experience, I was hesitant to let my ring go to just anybody so I had a lot questions and of all the jewelers I called, Ken was the only one to graciously answer them all. He understood my frustration and through his explanation of what the ring needed to be fixed, I knew he genuinely cared about getting my ring back to how it was and making me happy again. I felt confident that he could get the job, and boy did he! My ring not only actually fit, but it was put back together, and my heart couldn’t have been happier! Ken and his staff were so incredibly helpful through the entire process.

Recently, I needed to get my ring sized up and without hesitation I took it back to Design Jewelers and picked up a perfectly fitted, extra shiny ring! So happy to have found a jeweler I can trust!

Design Jewelers and its owner, Ken Gray, are simply the best of the best. I’ve never written a review, but the outstanding service that I received deserves to be acknowledged and shared with those looking for an expert and trusted jeweler. My sad story of a beautiful, sentimental, and lost diamond ended joyously when I picked up my ring today. Ken, who is a Certified Gemologist, presented an appraisal for my insurance company that resulted in my receiving almost $1000 more than the company was originally willing to pay. His expert knowledge simply left no room for argument. The replacement stone is GIA Certified, so I’ve no doubt that it matches the quality of my original. I went shopping for something special for my wife Kathryn and wandered into Ken's store. A sphene caught my eye as being colorful, sparkly, and unique. I came back with Kathryn who agreed it is a beautiful stone. We bought it. A design came to her in a dream - something like a sequence of cosmic events leading to 'creation' - the stone. She bounced her ideas off Ken who worked it up using his talent and design software and they came to an agreement about what could be done and how that fit Kathryn's ideas and inspiration.
