Read moreI have been here before and if I could give the service zero rating, I seriously would. When we got there, we got sat by the host a little bit over in the corner because we were with our three kids.. The restaurant probably had about 3-4 tables eating inside and one table outside at the time we got there. After we were greeted with waters by the busser, me and my two girls went to use the restroom and wash our hands. It obviously took a while because I have a seven-year-old and a toddler, but when I came back, my husband was standing, and I asked him what was going on. He said that no one had came to greet him yet, and he was trying to still put our drink orders in.
My husband had to get up again to grab the host to ask her to get our server since the bartender kept ignoring him.
We finally got our orders in.. Our food comes out before our drinks, and my husband asks the food runner if she could please check on our drinks she turns her back to my husband and walks away as she’s nodding her head and then I see her roll her eyes. I had to make eye contact with the bartender to get his attention, and he was the one to go see that our drinks were still sitting there, and he brought them over to us.
At this point, the restaurant is dead and there is no one at the bar.
About 10 minutes in after we got our food the server decides to come and check on us and ask how everything is going we said fine and he checked on us towards the end of us being done with our food, and we asked for our bill.. at this point, my husband and I were just over it and just trying to finish and get through dinner.
Here’s the kicker: After my husband paid the bill, he would not leave our area and he kept circling our table to ensure his tip. It was the most infuriating and obnoxious experience of my life. We eat out a lot, and we are generous tippers, but the fact that we got that much attention after we were already done and paid was just maddening.
The staff was just talking and hanging out because I am assuming in their mind it’s not busy but we are still paying customers and this service was terrible.

Never going back to this place. Sea Noodle Bar,...
Read moreVery nice ambience, different from many other Thai places whose ambition is to simply blend in and get by. This was our first visit. We just dropped in for a quick lunch. The wait was reasonable. Staffs were pleasantly professional with none of that family run business vibe. This is a good sign and one that set apart Sea Thai from being one of the average Thai restaurants. We ordered the northern style curry noodle, aka the famous "Kao Soi" we have heard so much from youtube peeps; ..and Spicy beef noodle soup. For the spicy noodle-I call this the Thai Pho, it consisted of rice noodle, pieces of green, bean sprout, sliced jalapeno, and basil in clear broth. The broth (ahh )had that lovely depth of clean naturally obtained pork/chicken bones flavor. This was the best part and the most important element of this Pho. My eyes popped at first sip..Mmm..yum. the noodle was a tad overcooked but ok; the beef slices were plentiful but a bit too thick and therefore tough. This can be easily fixed by slice that beef thinly when it is half frozen, then place the beef slices on top of noodle and drench the hot beautiful broth from the top...voila! That's how I like it..I don't know about you. :)) (cost $16) As for kao soi, there's much adjustments to be done. Let's start with the choice of egg noodle. It was too skinny! and, therefore, could not withstand the steamy curry. As the noodle continue to be cooked in that hot broth, by the time we could handle the noodle it was already overcooked. Also, all other components were lost in that thick stew like curry, so thick. The chicken slices and shrimp in it too were tough and chewy. (cost $20) Between the two I might go with Pho again, perhaps asking for tofu or chicken instead, if allowed. a Friendly FYI to staffs: when serving noodle dishes, please provide chopsticks as soon as you know there will be noodle, since it's the utensils appropriate for noodle consumption.
