Never greeted upon entry. Actually liked the store & their merchandise. As I paid for 2 items the price seemed higher than expected. The young woman who had “helped” me placed the Oakley sunglasses in the wrong box. $166 instead of $116. No apology from Tyler the manager who was ringing me up, not really much of an acknowledgement for an overcharge of $50.00 I asked his name & took a business card. He was borderline surly. Inquired about the manager, turns out Tyler is the manager . I explained that I was wanting to support a local business & that this had not been a pleasant retail experience. His reply? That I had been rude since I walked in. I actually engaged with 2 other shoppers asking their opinion on the raincoat ($225.00) & the aforementioned Oakleys since neither of the workers seemed invested in my investment. The young woman was fairly nice but shy & maybe new to retail. I have dealt with the public most of my working life & I am friendly & polite. I returned both items on the spot. I hope the owners of this shop see this & speak to or replace their...
Read moreBeware, they have a draconian return policy. We purchased UGG slippers as a Xmas gift on 12/01. Yesterday, Christmas, we realized the slippers are too small. I'm a "Rewards" customer, they have proof of the purchase, today is 12/26 (the day after Xmas), tags are all attached, we have the original box, and yet...They can't exchange the slippers for a larger size - they don't have the correct size - and they won't order another size. In the end, because we are outside of the 10 day return window, they will only redeem for store credit. We were informed that if the correct size is returned, and we are lucky enough to come in before they are resold, we have the option of exchanging our purchase for the correct sized UGGs. To me, that's hedging their bet at the expense of basic customer service. When REI is in town, Lululemon is across the street, and online shopping offers a plethora of choices, I've run out of reasons to shop at this store. It's too bad, I prefer to support local small businesses, but not if they...
Read moreI was gven Christmas gifts bought at Sonoma Outfitters that I couldn't use and wanted to return for credit to my credit card. I went in to the store 5 days after Christmas and was told that because the person who had given me the gift had purchased the items more than 10 days ago I could only get store credit. I tried to tell them that I I couldn't have returned the items less than 10 days before the date of purchase since I ony received the gift on Christmas but they would not budge. I was forced to spend $!00.00 in their store on items I didn't need or want. To add insult to injury, since I was in a hurry I didn't price check and found out that I bought an item that sells for $32.00 less in other stores. Bad business for a small store to practice and I will NEVER shop ...
