I just started my 1st Semester at Arizona College of Nursing and I’ve never felt so supported by strangers in my life. I had started the process to enroll back at the beginning of September and was hit with a family emergency, it was unexpected and heartbreaking and I did not have time to reach out to admissions to explain the situation. When I came back from out of town, I called Kim and talked to her about it and she had so much compassion and understanding and we just took up where we left off and within a few days I was enrolled! My 1st day was yesterday and unfortunately I was in a fender bender but it delayed me getting there exactly on time to a required seminar. I called Gabby to let her know. Once arrived I had every single one of the staff find me to ask how I was with concern and kindness. As someone who had completed a yr and half in an accelerated associated of nursing program in Jacksonville where a number of my cohort was failed out or left due to not feeling supportive, I can tell you that this has been such a wonderful experience and there is a doubt in my mind that this support will continue throughout the program. I started this school and it was going great until I started my Core classes and that is when it went south. It was not organized at all, everything was everywhere, the teachers were running behind their own schedule which can push off how you do in clinical.
