Richard's Food Emporium was fantastic they are knowledgeable and friendly. They have a genuine desire to serve you. They will help you find the things you need and even explain if you ask about a product. I am new to the health food scene and I find that they have many of the items I am reading about that I've never heard of and when I go in they have exactly what it is I read about. I was shocked to find out how many locations they have in the Sarasota area and I found them to be a good clean and shelves well-stocked store. My only complaint which was not their fault but the land Management's fault who I intend to contact was that there was one spot near Richards that was for handicap parking but right next to it there were like 9 Pizza spots for the Italian restaurant next to it and I felt that was a little out of balance. But if you're looking for a health food store to add to your health food store options I would definitely check out Richard's Food Emporium and I think you'll find that it's worthwhile place to stop and take a look at. If I were asked would I recommended the answer is...
Read moreI hate to stick it to them so hard, but I come from a big city and I've never navigated malls. I was lost in the Ring Road outside, there were no signs saying or listing all of the restaurants inside and the place I was going was so confusing to find that I stopped to ask a man on a motorcycle for directions. He pointed out I was parked in front of it, oh slightly across the street. I can only say about the restaurant I visited that would have been half the cost in downtown Sarasota... I know younger people than me like noise, I assume because they have nothing to say to each other important. It was so loud the waitress had to literally fall over the table to hear us. Then she spent as much time as possible walking by us and acting as if we didn't see her and she didn't see us. The food was good. Oh how do architects who build upscale restaurants add noise? They certainly know how to suppress it. It must be on purpose. I think I personally fail...
Read moreThis shopping center is an excellent alternative and not to be confused with the newer bigger mall across University Parkway The University Town Center mall, whose signs advertise as the UTC mall. The Shoppes at University Center has many stores some I've previously reviewed such as Lee Roy Selmons and Joan's Fabrics. There are restaurants, shoe store, liquor store, Richards Emporium to name a few. Parking is sufficient for the mall. The area can be crowded at times with all the stores and restaurants on both sides of University Parkway and be tricky getting in and out of both malls.
It's a fast growing area where technically the Shoppes at University Center is in Manatee County and the University Town Center in Sarasota County University Parkway the dividing line. Interesting enough, further down University Parkway there are residential addresses that have Sarasota County addresses but are on the north side of...
