I've been to many Glory Days over the years and I used to absolutely love it. I would go there at least a couple times a month. But at some point in the last year or two, something changed. No matter what location I would go to, I would come away disappointed (mainly in the food). So I decided to stop going there.
My family and I were in the area and decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, I think it will be the last time I ever go to a Glory Days. To start off, we waited 15-20 minutes before a server even acknowledged us. I watched another family get seated at the table next to us 10 minutes after we had already been there and were greeted by our same server before we were. When the server finally came over, they didn't even apologize or ask us what we wanted to drink. We just told them we were ready to order and added our drink orders to that. We also didn't receive any silverware and had to ask for it. As an appetizer, we ordered the chips and salsa/guac. It came out pretty quick, but the guacamole was almost brown and didn't taste like guac in the slightest, and the salsa was similar. It was 90% water and had a taste to it that I couldn't place, but wasn't pleasant.
Once our actual orders came out, they brought out mine and my mother in laws food, but not my wife's.We waited another 10 minutes or so and the server came over asking how everything was. When we told them her food hadn't come out yet, the server seemed confused and said they'd go check on it. They came back a minute later and said that the other worker that brought out our food didn't know my wife's order was part of it and that it would be out shortly. It took another 5 minutes or so for my wife to get her food after that, which didn't make sense to me since it should have been ready with ours if the order was put in all at once. I feel like it was forgotten in the initial order and hastily made in an attempt to compensate.
When her meal finally did come out, she did enjoy it to be fair. And my meal was okay, about what I was expecting but I wasn't blown away. But my mother in law didn't care for her wings at all and ended up eating less than half of them. She said they tasted stale, like they had been sitting out for a while and were hard to chew. She's not normally picky with food so this was surprising to us.
For the price we paid for the three of us (around $60 before tip), there are much, MUCH better options available. If this was just a one-off, I could understand it. But this has pretty much been my experience the last few times I've been to a Glory Days - disappointing in one way or another. It's a shame because I used to love this place, but I don't see myself giving it any...

Glory Days Grill, located in the UTC shopping district of Bradenton, FL, was an unexpected and welcome treat.
The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a classic bar and grill—large-screen TVs broadcasting just about every sport imaginable. It’s energetic, a bit loud, but fitting for the environment.
The restaurant was very clean, with a full bar and plenty of seating both inside and out. We were seated comfortably and promptly. Our waitress was warm, friendly, and attentive—well-versed in the menu and genuinely helpful throughout our visit.
Initially, I didn’t know what I wanted—the menu was surprisingly broad, offering far more than typical bar fare. With the outside temperature hitting 108°, all I really wanted was something cold to quench my thirst. But the menu quickly shifted my focus.
I started with the clam chowder, which arrived in a wide, generous bowl. It was outstanding—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It didn’t taste like something poured from a can; it had a homemade quality that made every spoonful worth savoring. They nailed it with the chowder—truly a standout.
For my entrée, I ordered the fried haddock with coleslaw and steamed broccoli. My godmother went with a towering turkey club sandwich served with French fries and more slaw. I second-guessed my order for a moment after seeing the size of her sandwich—but that doubt quickly vanished.
The fried haddock was absolutely the star of the meal. Lightly breaded, well-seasoned, and perfectly flaky inside—it was done just right. My only complaint? I wanted more. One filet simply wasn’t enough! The broccoli was tender, fresh, and steamed to perfection. And the coleslaw? Glory Days got it right. Not overly vinegary, not swimming in dressing—just crisp, cool, and well-balanced.
To drink, I had the sweetened pear tea—refreshing, smooth, and exactly what I needed on a sweltering day. If you’re a tea lover, definitely give it a try.
All in all, I highly recommend Glory Days Grill to anyone in the area looking for a satisfying, flavorful meal in a casual, upbeat setting. The food, service, and timing were all on point—and I’ll...
Read moreFirst time at Glory Days. Very noisy, hard to talk. Service was so disappointing, might not ever come back. Food was good, what hurt the most experience was our waitress. Just horrible and not attentive. Took forever for our appetizers to come out, the waitress brought out our meals 5 minutes later. Made no sense, had no room to eat. I sat with an empty beverage cup the whole meal until we could get her attention. Shouldn’t even have to ask, cup should have been filled. Once we got done with appetizers she didn’t even remove the empty plates and just left us cluttered with no room to eat. Now dinner was done and she puts down the check and says nothing. I put my credit card down and she came back to get it but approached the table and put her hand out for me to pass her the check and credit card. Now for the finale! Bring back the credit and check to sign and puts it on the table and did not say thank you, have a good night, or please come back, not a freaking word. What an awful experience it was. I work too hard and prices were not cheap to be treated like that. We won’t be back! Don’t understand how you can have people treat your customers like that. UPDATE: WASTE OF TIME EVEN GIVING THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE IT RIGHT!!! I contacted them through the email provided over a month ago and they claimed they were sending a gift card to make up for the horrible experience. Well guess what? ANOTHER HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Over a month and still have not received anything from them. WHAT A WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!! LATEST UPDATE: Finally received the gift card they sent me to so call "make it right" so we can give them another opportunity to provide a better dining experience. GUESS WHAT! THEY ONLY SENT US A $30 gift card when our meal with appetizers was like $125 plus tip! We will never come back to this location. What a joke and such bad customer service. How does this make up for it??? No way to...
