Five Guys — Restaurant in Sarasota

This is the second bad experience I’ve had at this store. Today was the first time I’ve been back since my last bad experience. Took my family there for lunch and ordered 4 little burgers/cheeseburgers (order 27). When our order was called, we picked it up only to find it was not correct. Two of the little cheeseburgers were not correct, so we took them to the counter and informed the person (Charlie). He asked if we had the receipt and we informed him we had thrown it out after we received the order. He told us he needed the receipt to coach the person who rang in the order, if it was in fact wrong. We told him it WAS wrong and not sure what that had to do with us or requesting the cheeseburgers be corrected, so I grabbed the receipt out of the trash and placed it on the counter. He slapped the receipt off the counter and told he he didn’t want that…it was dirty (i was the last person to throw something away and it was not dirty). He took the burgers and them brought them back out, one with no change but with an aluminum can containing the missing content and the other with the cheese on top of the tomatoes, not the burger patty (we noticed this when we got to the table and that all the lettuce was brown and wilted). I took the one burger with cheese on the tomato and asked him if it was supposed to be on the tomato or the burger. Again, with attitude, Charlie asked me what I wanted. I told him I wanted the cheeseburger done the correct way, all the way with raw onions and with cheese. He rudely threw the wrong burger in the trash and replaced it with a burger with lettuce, tomatoes, and raw onions (only). I went back to ask him for his manager’s name, to which his rude reply was Nicko. We left with 2 of us not getting to eat after paying...

Just ate there last night. This used to be my go-to place for burger and fries....now I'll never step foot in this place again. A burger that used to cost nearly 1/2 what it cost now has risen to the price of a burger I can get at a real restaurant instead of this fast food joint. The portion of fries we used to get was so large it overflowed out of the cup they put it in and into the bag it was put in. I counted about 12 French fries in the tiny cup I got last night. That cup used to be triple the size. 24.00 my myself and my wife for. 2 burgers, a small fries and 2 drinks in this place is absurd.

I suppose their heads got so big for all the free press they got that's proudly displayed on their walls that they decided it's time to increase profits.

The burger tasted good but my stomach couldn't take the 24.00 price tag for a fast food meal that's been reduced to a tiny portion of fries and burgers that are now double the price. I can eat at our local Beef I Brady's and get a serious burger and fries. . for the same price as a Five Guys burger....at least Beef I Brady's has entertaining TVs...

So decided to take my mom to the closest 5 guy's where we were and stumbled upon this location since that is what mama requested. All I can say is Amazing! Staff was on point and super friendly. I guess the guy with the black shirt was the manager a Hispanic guy and seemed like such a humble person. He greeted us at the door and worked really hard to ensure the place was clean inside and even outside and made sure everyone was taken care of. He is a perfect example of what a manager should be. It is people like this who make me smile and seeing him go above and beyond makes a huge difference. Wish I would have asked for his name and tell him what a difference he had made in our trip to eat at this place, but hopefully next time. I guess the thing that made this place even more amazing was I ordered a small fry for my mom and I and wow it was almost like a large size fries that both fed us. We were super happy and couldn't have asked for a better evening. I would highly recommend this place and will try to visit again when I am...
