I bought my husband a murder mystery tour for Father's Day. In early June, I reserved a Friday night in mid-July. Within a day, I received my confirmation email and $180 was deducted from my account. Fast-forward to the night of our tour. My daughter, husband and I excitedly got ready and drove over an hour to where the directions said to meet. As instructed, we arrived 30 minutes prior to departure time. Peculiarly, the parking lot was empty and the gift shop was locked up. So we waited. And waited. At departure time, when no one showed up, I checked my email again. After scouring through my entire Inbox, I found another email that stated that we were the only three people on the tour and that they were cancelling the tour. They never called me to let me know. We wasted a total of three hours to drive to this tour and back home. I wrote the company to express my disappointment. While I was understanding that the tour was cancelled, I was really disappointed that no one called or sent a text to me. I explained that like many, my Inbox is inundated with email and it is easy for emails to get lost. Me and a woman named Tammy went back and forth. She never said she understood my frustration. Instead, she stood by her policy, which is that her and her staff don't call folks to let them know tours are cancelled. I told her someone should have spent the 90 seconds to either call or text me in this circumstance. It's not even like they would have had to make several phone calls. We were literally the only party on the tour. Obviously, I think this is very poor customer service, not to mention a very poor business decision. If they had done their due diligence and called me, I would have happily rescheduled on another tour instead of them refunding me nearly $200. It would have been a win-win. Since this happened, I went through these reviews more carefully and I see this is not the first time guests have shown up for tours that have been cancelled. I wish I had known. Because this company didn't want to invest a couple minutes to call me, I wasted 3 hours of my time to go on a trolley tour that was never going to happen. Do...
Read moreWe were on vacation from Georgia and saw an add for a haunted Sarasota tour , we took Uber from Siesta Key to the meet up location. At the meeting location we met another couple on vacation who also booked the tour for tonight June 23rd @ 8:00pm. We waited for an hour, no trolly showed up so I called the number on the add and left a voicemail.I received a text back from a woman named Tammy who said there is no tour tonight and we booked on the June 30th, my wife called the number to explain the situation. She tried to tell Tammy we will be back in Georgia and in booking, it said tonight at 8 PM. She also tried to explain about the other random couple waiting with us ,she rudely told her to stop talking and that they don’t matter. And there is no tour tonight and there will be no refund and hung up the phone. So after an hour wasted, we have to spend another $27 on a ride back to the resort. This is the worst experience we’ve ever had while visiting and we don’t want any people to have this terrible experience do not use the service there online booking dates are false !!!!
The response from the female named Tammy below is false 100%. No one threatened anyone or yelled at anytime, the couple that also purchased the same June 23rd ghost tour were standing beside us. The fact is the ticket website was incorrect. The unethical portion is how you would not refund the $122 that was spent on a tour that wasn’t happening. So your organization received a total $244 tonight for false advertising from the website you pay to sell your tickets. We understand you did not operate that website, but there was clearly an error with the schedule showing tonight being available. You offered a gift card instead of a refund, ask yourself does that sound ethical Tammy? You can try to sugarcoat anything you want with your response plain and simple you stole...
Read moreTammy, this is a lie. No one threatened you. If you consider me saying that I am reporting you for taking our $ and not providing a service a threat then you are the problem. There was another couple that you also stole $ from that heard the conversation. I did not yell at you, you said to stop talking about the other couple when I tried to explain that this happened to other people and hung up on me. Regardless we paid for a tour and showed up and you said it was not for tonight but next Friday. That is a week away and we also paid to Uber there and back. We spent $122 on tickets and you do not have the integrity to refund us for an error. You were very rude and there are three other people that heard the conversation. You did not provide a service and the other couple also saw that the reservation was for tonight. Any reputable company would refund for an error on their website regardless. We will not be here next weekend seeing how we are on vacation. No one should book with this company!
This is not an inaccurate review. We do not want a gift card, we will not be here tomorrow. We are obviously not the only ones that had this issue with you. You run an unethical company and kept our $ over an error.
I absolutely was not intoxicated, I do not drink nor did I yell. There were 3 other people there to confirm this. There are other reviews of similar incidents with you. Your employee also posted our personal information on the internet which is illegal. This has been reported and will be taken care of. A company with integrity would have refunded the $ for a service that wasn’t received. You seemed very hostile.
You keep threatening us on social media and other websites. Spreading lies saying that I was intoxicated. What we have written is an accurate review, no threats were given. We will also be taking legal action if this harassment...
