Sarasota Rare Coin Gallery, Inc. No such thing as no stars..Just not a friendly place..I stopped in just to check it out and have the guys look at a few old Lincoln cents my Father and I collected as a kid , I wanted to know if maybe I had something worth grading, reluctantly one guy dumped out my little bag of coins onto a tray looked at one or two, then told me to put them in my pocket and go spend them at 7-11, maybe he was right, maybe not, but right then and there a small part of me died, he made it seem like all those countless hours of fun ,collecting with my now dead father years ago was just a waste of human existence. then turned away and never said another word to me until I ask "So what's worth looking for in Old cents"? his reply "Why don't you go buy a book".. I guess I should pray and ask my Dad to forgive me for wasting all those days and hours of time on me as a kid. Just not a good place for the average guy without stacks of cash in your pockets. I had inherited some coins from my parents years ago. I knew some of them were valuable but didn't know how to get a fair price for them. I saw an ad in the Observer for Eastern Numismatics and decided to try it out. The staff was wonderful!! I felt very comfortable and relaxed in dealing with both experts. My husband also brought some platinum he had. I had a good idea what my coin was worth a few years ago. But they valued it much higher than I expected. They also gave a very good price on the platinum. In a field where I don't know anything and expect to get fleeced, this was the most pleasant surprise. I plan to return to them to sell more coins and metals. I wouldn't mind buying some of their jewelry. I highly recommend this organization and the people...

The staff is knowledgeable, fair and attentive. On our first visit Ryan spent two hours going over their collection with us even though we indicated that we didn’t intend to purchase anything that visit. We have since been back several times both buying and selling. I am extremely happy with every transaction and look forward to more. Their collection covers bullion, ancients, tokens, medals, collectibles, older paper currency, coin albums and books and more.
