Dunphy Park — Attraction in Sausalito

Dunphy Park is a sweet grassy park w/ a tiny beach at low tide. In the heart of Sausalito, it's a great place to bring your lunch & park yourself on a picnic bench & watch the birds swoop down & dip into the bay. There is a new Bocci Ball area that is very popular, too. Plenty of free parking, which is rare in Sausalito. And you can even bring your dog! Dunphy park was closed as of December 5th 2018 for reconstruction with completion of phase 1 estimated for June 2019. It was heartbreaking to watch the 50ft + trees being dropped, the gazebo and other original park features being removed, and everything being torn up. Phase 1 of the project is the grading and resurfacing of the park, installation of irrigation, restroom foundation, walkways, parking, and lighting.
