So let’s be honest, Sausalito is not the main attraction here, it’s the bridge! Some overpriced burgers, some gift shops but noting to fancy here.
The problem is when you reach here by bike, it’s made very clear parking is prohibited everywhere. Even if you pull-up to a restaurant they will force a payment or eating at a establishment. Euhhh… thanks but no thanks 😅
Except space for 6 bicycle near the public restrooms, they closed of all spots. Of course there is a commercial guys asking $ 5 a bike storage… a 100% joke!
The town of Sausalito is without any doubt the most bike unfriendly location I’ve seen in years, they are just not ready for tourism!
