Just stopped in for an afternoon bite with 3 adults, 3 five year olds, and a 2 year old. We were quickly greeted and accommodated to a corner table by a lovely waitress. Our table was set with kids menus and electronic doodle pads in place. The kids all got water with fun straws and lids right away. Our waiter was delightful and helpful. He was quick with his rounds to get our orders placed. The kids were happily entertained with thier pads and us grown ups and had a chance to chat. The food came out promptly no more than 10 minutes and OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! DELICIOUS!!!! We ordered kids burritos, guacamole, tacos, a Cali style burrito and soup. I got the pescado, pork and steak tacos that were absolutely amazing! Perfectly seasoned and portioned. The rice was flavorful and fluffy. The beans were soft and just the right amount of satly and savory. I LOVED the pescado taco, crunchy, slightly spicy. We were treated so well and will definitely be back!

I wanted to love this place as I’m a huge fan of Mexican food. I read the reviews and noticed a few said that the food lacked flavor and they were right. I ordered a fish, steak, and shrimp taco and all 3 lacked flavor. The fish was battered and tasted like water, the steak was over cooked, and the shrimp was overpowered by burnt peppers and onions. The corn tortillas weren’t great either. I’m so glad I filled up on their excellent tortilla chips with pico de gallo. My husband and my friend liked their meals but mine was certainly sad. As cute as the restaurant was and the atmosphere was great, I will not come back. For 3 of us it was $146 in tacos & burritos. This is insane pricing for disappointing food.

Honestly, it's just meh. It's a total tourist trap. We started out with guacamole that tasted as if it were made in a lab and dyed green, and to be frank, I've had better tasting guacamole out of a tube. It didn't taste as if it came from an avocado. The chips were stale and disappointing and the salsas were sub par. The fish taco actually tasted decent, but the oyster taco was vomit inducing. I bit into mine and rotten sludge poured out. It took everything I had not to lose my stomach. The crab stuffed Chile relleno was decent, more rice than crab so that was sad. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place, there are plenty of other great options all along the wharf.

This is my second time going to Salsalito Taco Shop and for sure won't be the last. The service is excellent and every single team member was committed to provide a great experience. Although COVID restrictions are lifting, the shop continue to practice strict clean protocols which is very reassuring.

The food was great and the flavors and preparation were true to the Mexican cuisine. I was part of a ten people party, and everyone was happy with the meal, which means almost every choice in the menu is a safe bet. The only reason I am not giving a fifth star to the review is for a few missing small simple details that would have made our visit more enjoyable. They serve water with no ice, and we had to ask a couple of times for ice because they just brought small quantities each time to our large table. The second one is that chips and salsa (which are an standard perk at almost any mexican restaurant) are charged at $6 per basket (which is a steep price). On their defense, the chips are made in house and have a superb taste. The place is still highly recommended and o e of my go to places when I visit...
