Nothing to write home about in terms of taste overcooked and reheated bacon, indifferent potatoes and OK eggs. I got the banana pancake which was mediocre and since everything is cooked on the same grill plancha they tend to pick up odors from the surrounding environment. The only plus is the really good sourdough bread that they grill and serve with butter.

Food hygiene is low based on my standards. Too many bare hands touching your food. The cook prepared my eggs and bacon and the waitress removed a strip of bacon with her bare hands from my plate because she realized I was paying for two and not for three pieces. Please note that she didn't throw it in the garbage but back in the bacon container. The cooks do everything barehanded from chopping unwashed veggies to handling big pieces of cooked turkey etc. They have a towel in the oven and one in their belts that it cleans/wipes whatever they can get their hands on (i.e chopping boards, knives etc.) including their hands.

It looks like the American diner you see in the movies with all the unhealthy food you will ever want and to be honest if I wasn't sitting on the bar watching the actual cooking process I might had given more stars and a more romantic “Hollywood” inspired review. I am not sure what the raving reviews are about but I guess “in the land of blind one...

Lighthouse Cafe is at the end of my bike ride from Oakland. After 30miles of cycling I'm starving and Lighthouse satisfies my hunger perfectly. They may have a line for the outdoor section in the spring/summer months as the weather is usually beautiful in Sausalito. However there is usually always space at the bar inside, which is my go-to as I like to see my food be prepared. The staff is really friendly there. They usually are pretty prompt with taking orders, but don't allow substitutions and don't have gluten free toast. They bring coffee first if you request it and are pretty good about topping you off if you need more. I usually order the French toast combo, which comes with a side a bacon or sausage and 2 eggs any style. I go over medium and they are usually cooked properly. The French toast is cooked well and is not too sweet. I give four stars on food quality because I feel they could use better, more fluffy bread for the French toast and they don't prepare the bacon fresh, they don't even reheat the bacon. It arrives luke warm and not very crispy. I would usually get an extra side of sausage. The sausage, however, is cooked fresh. I get all of this food for around $30. Compared to some of the other breakfast spots in the area, I like their prices the best so I will continue to come here on my Sunday...

Don’t come here if you are asian. It was very clear that the staffs were discriminating us. We’ve been ignored by multiple staffs while waiting to be seated. When we finally asked if we could be seated, the staff said we needed to wait until the table gets cleaned and everyone else already seated gets served first. Meanwhile three more groups came after us gets seated and gets served. One table that’s been unoccupied this entire time finally gets cleaned and the staff just points to the table and tells us to go seat there while welcoming in new group of customers, walking them into the restaurant. When we addressed this to the waitress that we were not happy about the way we were treated vs other customers, she said we should not come back here if we are not happy. It was so upsetting and humiliating, we just walked out. They cleaned our table right away and seated a new group of customers in seconds welcoming them in. This was a total contrast to when we were told to wait because all of their staffs were too busy to clean a table.. like we were there for an hour and we saw you seating other customers. I’ve never experienced anything like this at a restaurant before. I will never come back again. And hope this will bring awareness and that no one else...

I was only in the bay area for a weekend and my friends who live in the bay wanted to take me to Sausalito. We stopped here for lunch around 2 pm. I was so excited to see so many options that were vegetarian friendly, as that was a big issue as we were looking for somewhere to eat. Overall the food was okay. I was kind of disappointed in the idea of this being a "Spanish" omelette (iykyk). The waitress, Alisha, also forgot my toast and my friend's side order of meatballs and we had to remind her. We ate outside and there was a bee that kept landing on our food and interrupting our meal. I asked the waitress about it and she said it regularly happens. The food was good. I can't complain about the flavor. However, as we were finishing up, we did feel a bit rushed when a lady who wasn't even our server came out and asked us to pay and didn't even give us time to discuss whose card we would put it on. She was very insistent in the moment pointing at my friend asking her to pay then and there because it was 2:55 and they close at 3:00. As someone who works in hospitality, this is not the type of service I would expect from such a popular establishment.

After an amazing day exploring the city, we decided to venture over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the charming town of Sausalito! We were in a bit of a hurry, but still wanted to grab a delicious bite to eat. Luckily, we stumbled upon this adorable cafe just before closing time! The staff there were absolutely fantastic - they greeted us with big smiles and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I can't even begin to describe how much I loved the steaming hot cup of fresh coffee ☕️ I had there. Even at the end of the day, it was still piping hot and bursting with flavor! Now, let's talk about the burger I ordered. It was a tad on the pricier side, but boy was it worth it! The flavors were incredible and I savored every single bite. My friend also enjoyed her meal - it was just as tasty! Oh, and did I mention they have the cutest little patio? It's the perfect spot to soak in the breathtaking views while enjoying your meal. It's no wonder they've been around for so long - they have an incredibly loyal following! Trust me, you won't be disappointed if you give them a try. I highly, highly recommend this place!

It's...fine. The food is average, and service is good for the most part. We requested water from one server several times and were brushed off. The server who took our order was much nicer and accommodating. If you sit inside, it gets noisy. For some reason, when they restock the clean plates they need to do it in the absolute loudest way possible. The portions are generous, but my wife never received her fresh fruit after being talked into ordering it instead of double potatoes. My Turkey Sandwich was underwhelming. Our water and coffee weren't refilled once. If you're in the area and there isn't a line, give it a shot. Maybe you'll have a better experience than we did. Otherwise, I would skip it. P.S. - I work in the food industry and the bacon surcharge is a joke. They're just ripping you off. Yes, prices have gone up for pork, but charging customers $3 extra just because the entree has bacon is straight robbery. Tourists beware.
