IDESST is a GREAT venue. We had our wedding here and it was such a great find!

GREAT VALUE: IDESST is a non profit organization from the Portuguese community so they are not trying to overcharge you. You are able to use your own caterer and bartenders unlike so many other venues in the Bay Area that require you to use theirs. That way you can serve your favorite food and shop around for the best value.

BEAUTIFUL: The ballroom is lovely and spacious. With its off white walls and wood details, the ballroom is blank canvas so you can decorate freely.

FULL KITCHEN AND BAR: It was so useful to have an area for the caterer to set up and stage. The bar was super useful to have as we bought our own liquor (which saved us a ton of money).

GREAT MANAGER: Diane was our contact at IDESST and she was such a wonderful person to work with. she's very professional and organized and has great tips to make your event great.

My name Hugo, I never like to post reviews, but this time I spend some time reviewing this place, the hall of the Portuguese cultural center. I rented this place last September, almost 5 months ago, when I rented this place they asked me to give $2000 deposit, that was a lot of money just for the deposit. Anyway, I rented the place for my wedding and I give the $2000 deposit, now it's almost 5 months, it's January 2024 and this place still doesn't give me my deposit. I called DJ, many times emailed, texted. He never answers me. DJ, he's the person I made the contract for renting this place. I recommend not renting this place because it is very frustrating to do business with these types of people. Now I am going to open small claims court in the city of Sausalito because this is not right. Please be careful with this place with deposits, no one wants to lose $2000. All this is frustrating so if you don't want to have a bad time and stop in court, don't RENT this place. I will posting updates after the court people.
