Memorial Park — Attraction in Scarborough

I like this park very much. We often have picnics here during the summer and fall, and they have great concerts during the summer. My biggest complaint is the guy with the ride on mower who seems to enjoy harassing people sitting on the grass enjoying their lunch. I've seen him aggressively ride his mower as close to people sitting on the grass as he can. Is there no other time to mow when people aren't there eating? I've been there to walk early and no one's on the grass. I've been there around 11 am and no one on the grass. I've been there at 2 pm and no one on the grass eating. But lawn mower guy has to mow the lawn at noon when the business people are walking around in droves or eating lunch in...

Great place to walk (with or without your dog). Various areas for other activities such as picnic tables, corn hole (bring your own bags), chess, tennis, the pond with a fountain is a great place to watch the ducks and look for frogs, a free little library, several memorials to service members, a gazebo and tierd seating for the various concerts and performances that happen there. A peaceful place to drink coffee or read, or just walk. Measured 1/4 mile walkway around the perimeter. Lots of benches. Very clean. Public restroom, also very clean. Lots of dogwalkers, but the dogs are leashed and all the owners pick up with town-supplied plastic bags. Pleasant spot. The town holds concerts there...
