I love having this Rosemont Market in Scarborough! It’s such a great addition to our town. Don’t even get me started on the adjacent Harbor Fish Market. Having local seafood and local produce so easily accessible is something special, and I don’t take it for granted.
Things I love about this Rosemont Market: The bakery is always well stocked. We love the baguettes! Wine selection and wine deals on Fridays! The coffee is always excellent (plus you get one free after ten coffees if you join their free membership program) The fresh meat and cheese. The gentleman behind the meat and cheese counter always goes above and beyond. He recommended their fresh prosciutto for a recipe, and not only did it save me money compared to the packaged one, but it was yummier. Parking. Contrary to other reviews, I’ve never had a parking issue and visited this location dozens of times.
Things I don’t love: Some of the prices are a bit outrageous, especially for products they make in-house. Some of the cashiers are so kind and helpful! Other ones… not so much. It’s a...
Read moreThis review is strictly regarding their pre-made sandwiches and other prepared foods. First off, their baked goods are excellent. The grocery selection is good. I have no criticisms of those area of the business. However, with respect to their sandiwches, they are poorly constructed and have very little meat. It's basically all bread with a thin slice of meat. Honestly, for the price charged, it's shameful. Zero value for the sandwich and I would never recommend anyone buy a sandwich from here. Frankly (and sadly), Hannafords produces a better sandwich than Rosemont. The prepared foods are terrible as well. We paid $63.00 for food that wasn't worth more than $15 in my mind. We got Korean meatballs tasted like they were rolled in salt. My God was it ever overly salted. It was absolutely terrible. If you want excellent baked goods and groceries, give them a shot. If you want prepared foods and sandwiches, steer clear...
Read moreAs far as food products go, I've been more than happy with the small but quality selection of produce, cheese, and non-perishables. But I've tried to go in a few times around opening and found it still closed, including today. I waited until about 8:15 and left, because I had to get on with the rest of my errands.
Also, like others have said, the parking lot situation is less than ideal. People drive like maniacs on Rt. 1 and it's hard to make the sharp right turn into the lot when the car behind you is inches away. I'd like to keep shopping at Rosemont since I do like the products a lot, but at this time I don't think I will...
