Experience/Customer Service: My partner and I got both of our ceremony outfits at Ave today with the help of Amit and the entire team. We had tried clothes shopping on Devon many months ago and felt pressured and judged, especially as a interracial, same-sex couple. It was like night and day at Ave, we felt incredibly taken care of with our style and budgets kept in mind. We were greeted as soon as we entered the shop and offered water and chai. We never felt pressured to say yes to anything and they encouraged us to take more time to think about what we wanted even if that meant not making a purchase through them. When we successfully found our looks, they brought out champagne for us to celebrate!

Selection: I was blown away by how many different styles they offered from very traditional to very unique and modern. I tried sarees & lehengas and my partner tried kurtas & sherwanis. They had so many colors and offered customization for whatever we needed. The lehenga I ended up choosing was actually perfect for my size right off the rack and an auntie put the finishing touches and fixes right there in the store! They also had a beautiful selection of jewelry that we were able to try to see how our outfits would look accessorized.

We’re based in Seattle and were planning a wedding in New Zealand on a tight timeline. After feeling overwhelmed at bridal stores in LA and NY, one call with Amit changed everything. He took time to understand our vision and style before even showing us outfits, and gave honest, personalized advice throughout. It felt like a creative collaboration, never a sales pitch.

The in-store experience was incredibly special — an indulgent, fully personalized bride and groom styling session that made us feel cared for at every step. Amit also connected us to top jewelry designers, tailors, and accessory vendors in the U.S. and India, helping us customize everything from veil and dupatta to safa and shoes.

A huge shout-out to Tejal as well — her expert tailoring and practical styling advice made a big difference, and her kindness stood out throughout the process.

We chose a breathtaking red Tarun Tahiliani saree, a showstopping Sawan Gandhi saree, and a regal ivory Sawan Gandhi sherwani — all styled to perfection. All our accessories were sources by Ave India from Purab Paschim and Reemat Designs.

I had the most amazing experience with the entire team at Ave! From my haldi and mehndi outfits to my reception look, everything was absolutely stunning. Each outfit made me feel so beautiful and confident and were exactly what I had envisioned!
