I brought my car to Meineke in Hoffman Estates on Saturday, June 14 at 2 PM, just two hours before closing, and the owner Tariq welcomed me in without hesitation. I was dealing with a loud exhaust issue and suspected it was a damaged pipe. The automotive technician quickly lifted the car, diagnosed the problem, and provided me with two clear options and estimates.

I initially planned to shop around and even called the Acura dealership, but they told me they don’t handle the kind of exhaust work Meineke does—in fact, they said they refer some of their vehicles to Meineke!

That gave me even more confidence to return, and I’m so glad I did. Both the owner and technician were professional, honest, and knowledgeable. From the very beginning, I trusted that they would do the job right—and they did.

Highly recommend this shop for their integrity, service, and genuine care. I will absolutely bring my car back here again. It’s rare to find a place where you feel both valued and confident in the work being done.

Don’t get your wheel alignment done at this establishment, they said you need to change the front control arms because... they rusted, when I said that today I don’t have money to replace the levers, they said that they would try to warm up the levers, in the end I paid for the wheel alignment and plus 40 dollars for heating them up and working for a long time, everything would have been fine if not for that fact which only got worse than before, the steering wheel became crooked, and the front wheels, new ones, began to chew. I contacted another company, they did diagnostics, the verdict was the same at the front, but they changed the nuts and did everything, but at the back it’s even worse, everything needs to be changed there and there’s a lot of work, because... all the levers were rusty, but the rear wheel alignment was fine, about which maineke didn’t say a word to me, the conclusion is that they took the money, didn’t do the work, only made it worse and kept silent about the problems that they couldn’t solve. I’ve never met anyone so rude especially in a Customer service role. Didn’t catch his name but it’s the black guy, thin, glasses, ball cap, approx 6’0”. I believe he’s the manger since he’s the once greeting customers and not wrenching. As I’m waiting for my turn, another customer arrives requesting to replace a patch. This guy continue to rudely say “we can’t patch a patch.” I understand he’s attempting to explain however, it’s the way he is addressing the customer. Ultimately, he left and drove in his flat. My car was on the lift and called me out to the bay to show me the readings for an alignment. As he’s speaking to me, I turned away from him and looked towards my car. This rude guy says “right here” demanding me to reface him again. It took me a sec to analyze if this is really happening. His condescending attitude, Speaking to me as if I’m a 2 yr old child.
