I do not recommend Saint Mark Church, despite it being a good place for spiritual growth, mainly because of serious ongoing issues involving Father Marcus. Although many complaints have been made against him over the years, no action has been taken by the bishop to remove or transfer him.
Here are my main concerns:
Personal Conflict: I’ve had issues with Marcus since day one. He disliked me because I know the Bible well and would challenge him when his teachings didn’t align with scripture. He couldn't control me, which created tension.
Lack of Pastoral Care: In 2014, when I had surgery and was unwell, Marcus neither visited nor contacted me, failing in his pastoral duty.
Inappropriate Influence: During that same difficult time, I discovered Marcus was talking to my wife about divorce, which deeply hurt me and worsened my health.
False Accusations: Marcus submitted a false report against me in court and encouraged two Sunday School teachers to do the same — including one I had never spoken to.
Violation of Church Ethics: Church leaders should not act as court witnesses without a court order or bishop's permission. Marcus ignored this, acting as if he’s above church authority.
Gossip and Slander: He has visited families and spread false stories about me. I reported this to the bishop with evidence.
Lack of Accountability: Even after raising these issues with the bishop, Marcus never apologized or acknowledged wrongdoing.
Spiritual Leadership: I do not believe Marcus is spiritually qualified to guide people toward heaven or help them grow in faith. He has hurt too many families.
Final Thoughts: A church is about the people, not the building. If one man causes this much damage, it’s time to question whether he should be followed or respected.

Read moreBased on my experience, Father Marcus initially comes across as a kind man, but if you act without his approval or disagree with him, he quickly turns against you. He expects unquestioning obedience, almost as if he sees himself as a god rather than a human.
I also discovered that Father Marcus has encouraged women to seek divorce, and when families approached him for help, many of those situations ended in separation. This reportedly led to an increase in divorces within Saint Mark Church, which contradicts biblical teachings.
Additionally, Marcus has been involved in court cases where he supported women as a witness, sometimes allegedly giving false testimony. It’s also known that his own daughter has been divorced at least twice, which raises concerns about his example as a church leader.
In my opinion, if you're seeking spiritual guidance and a path to heaven, Saint Mark Church is not the right place while Father Marcus remains there. I do not recommend anyone attend the church under his...
