We just love this place. Great beers, ciders, hard Kombucha, excellent wine selections, and they line up some of the best food trucks in the whole valley all week.
Really though, what sets this place apart is the way the owner has set it up.
Laid back, welcoming crew, fun wine events to attend for both novices and well traveled oenphiles.
Plus he's the real deal, genuinely loves his craft and cares about his products, and while he is an educated sommelier, learning about wine and regions and grapes from him is never pretentious or snooty, it's intriguing, interesting and fun. If you like well crafted beers on tap and eclectic beers in the fridge, adventurous wines, but prefer the laid back vibe, this is the place for you. Check out the food truck calendar on their site and go on a night with the food you like, they'll let you take it right inside to eat, and help you pair it with a great drink and everyone there is so friendly, you'll get great...
Read moreRift is currently one of my favorite spots in the valley. It's a casual dive-esque bar and winery that deserves your attention. A place for high-toppers, loungers, and orbiters alike.
This place has a serious selection of craft beer. Six fridges line the wall, showcasing a selection of local brews and wines. A massive walk-in cooler houses the rest of the hidden gems, with twenty-five taps bubbling out golden brown goodness behind the bar.
The lounge area has four couches in a rustic homey atmosphere, onlooking a cozy yet eclectic crate-crafted RIFT sign across the wall, which houses numerous trinkets, books, and various knickknacks that clearly stemmed from the owners' own lives.
And on the topic of staff, these guys are all-stars. They have fantastic recommendations for your personal palette and can talk about their drinks all night. They are personable, helpful, and easy to vibe with.
I can't recommend RIFT enough; stop in next time you're...
Read moreLove that they carry Phish live webcasts, just wish they'd spend ~$1500 on a 70" TV and surround sound and put it in back by the couches. Place would draw Phish fans like a magnate if they did. Went there with a few fellow Phish fans a couple weeks ago and the webcast was only on a smallish TV behind the bar and you could hardly hear it. Trying to get my friends to go back this weekend for an Alpine show but the lack of volume is making it difficult for me to talk them back into revisiting this place. Small TV and low volume for Phish shows are the only things keeping my review from being 5 star. Owners are on the right track, just need to take this last step to bring...
