A VERY Clean property. I worked as a Nurse for 25 years, ... 7 of them here in Phoenix, Cleanliness is very important to me! I have moved back to the Valley about a month ago and am staying here the whole time as I look for a residence. The Managers On Duty Connie and Lydia are terrific at Customer Service and genuine "People" People, as is Tony the Man at the Desk. The front Desk help are all genuinely nice and helpful. In Fact ALL of the people who are actually working on the property are very welcoming and helpful! The Housekeeping and Maintenance workers are accommodating and pleasant at all times though it is easy to see how hard they work!
To be Honest the only person here that doesn't seem to be as caring and friendly is the General Manager. It seems you only see him when he comes out to mistreat the guests! I was outside my room smoking a cigarette and He told me I couldn't smoke outside my room because it was a Non smoking room. A lady who is staying at the Motel while her house is renovated and I were outside my room talking Politics and the State of our Nation, [we are both senior Citizens NOT Rowdy People] a guest who was an obvious redneck was staying across from me in the corner and when he walked by he heard us speaking not so fondly of Trump as a President, ... in an effort to censor us he called the front desk and complained that we were standing outside of my room talking and it disturbed him, .. that man was disturbed mentally before he ever entered the property!! The Genera Manager Man came and told us we were disturbing the redneck and "Confined us to our rooms" SERIOUSLY? After I paid a Jacked up price that was nearly triple the normal rate to stay there? He wants to treat me like a child and imprison me in my room? I think he forgets who pays the money to the Motel so they can pay his salary. He frankly is NOT very Good as a General Manager for a "Hospitality" Property and has poor people skills, and is a bit of a Nazi! SO, I do hope that the Management of Motel 6 sees this and realizes that people do not pay hard earned money to be treated this way and that Motel 6 Corporate Offices will see the Value and worth of Connie and Lydia and decide to promote one of them to this Mans position because he is hurting their properties income Value while as the ladies are increasing it and he is undeserving of...
Read moreMy recent stay at the Motel 6 Scottsdale South has been nothing short of a sanctuary during an incredibly difficult week, and I cannot commend the front desk manager asinet,Ruby and the entire staff enough for their exceptional kindness and professionalism.
This past week has presented me with immense challenges. On top of dealing with a horrific and sudden death in my family, my home's air conditioning broke down amidst scorching 110-degree weather, forcing me to seek immediate accommodations. The stress has been immense, but from the moment I arrived four days ago, the front desk manager and the entire team at this Motel 6 have done everything in their power to ease my burden.
Their helpfulness and compassion have truly gone above and beyond any guest standards. They showed genuine empathy for my situation, ensuring my room was comfortable and that I had everything I needed without me even having to ask. They created an atmosphere where I felt supported and cared for, rather than adding to my stress. It's rare to encounter such understanding and dedication, especially during such trying times, and it made an immeasurable difference to my well-being.
Beyond the incredible staff, I've been so impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. Every area, from the lobby to my room, has been impeccably maintained, which speaks volumes about their commitment to guest comfort. The amenities have also been fully functional and well-kept. The laundry facilities were clean and efficient, a small but significant convenience. And even amidst my personal turmoil, the pool was a pristine and inviting oasis, offering a brief moment of respite.
The collective efforts of the compassionate front desk manager and the entire staff, coupled with the remarkably clean and well-maintained property, have transformed a challenging period into a more manageable one. I am profoundly grateful for their support and highly recommend the Motel 6 Scottsdale South to anyone seeking not just a clean and comfortable place to stay, but a truly caring...
Read moreI dont usually review motels but this one put me over the edge. After an hectic day and a late arrival at the airport, looked in my email and find this motel but I was not sure it was right. So when I checked-in I handed my ID and specifically asked if I had a reservation. I was told by the manager I did. I asked for a many days and he said just tonight...hum, I asked again if I had a reservation because it made no sense (my stay in Tempe was 2 nights)?! I was told again I did have a one night reservation and not to worry they have a room for tomorrow as well. We went out for dinner and when I came back I had an email from another hotel. Looked at the Motel 6 email, it was a cancellation email! I went back to the front desk, the manager was gone. I explained what happened, the lady at the front desk told me she could refund me for the second night but not the first one because 2h had passed since check in. We left. I called back the day after, manager was gone, I called back on Monday, manager was in a meeting, a call back Tuesday., talked to the manager who listened to me, seemed to agree with me but told me he could not do anything because I reserved through a 3rd party. Told him it was not true, I remembered calling Motel 6 directly and that I had the cancellation email. I filled a complain with Motel 6 corporation, they send a message to the owner but he never got back to me. I called again today, was asked who was calling and surprise, the manager was in a meeting! Well, the manager is a big liar, Motel 6 corporation told me they are sorry but can not do anything for me, STAY AWAY!!!! Thanks for the BS answer, I am still waiting for your call back as you told me you will...
