This place says it closes at 10pm but they don't enforce the curfew nor do they lock the gate so i sometimes take my dog here after 10 bcuz he gets aggressive around other dogs sometimes so this way he has the place to himself. Its a friendly dog park and the dog owners that come here are friendly. It used to be a little cliquey, but that group disbanded. There are also public restrooms here and a small man made lake where the ducks hang out. There are BBQ grills and gazebos placed all around the lake and there is a kids play area, like a park with slides swings and a playhouse type structure that is built in the sand. There is also a private parking lot and there is a water fountain built especially for dogs. Its like a giant water bowl that several dogs can drink from simultaneously and you press a button to refill it. There are also 3 picnic tables inside the fenced in dog area. But there are a few transients who sleep under the bridge like structure that serves as a walkway but they are harmless. Also, Scottsdale PD patrols this park at night but they have never said a word to me about being in the dog park after 10pm. I don't know if they just can't see me because its not all that visible from the parking lot at night, but i DO know that if you are seen parked in your car in the parking lot after 10pm they will interrogate you and ask for your ID and run it for warrants and treat you like a criminal until they receive the info back from the dispatcher about you. They may even ask to search your vehicle and site you for trespassing so I park on the street and just walk my dog in there so if i have to deal with them at all i can just keep walking and dont have to answer any questions except my name and hand them my ID if they ask but I don't think Arizona is a stop and identify state but you may be required to if you're there after 10pm since it would be considered trespassing but like i said, they have never said a word to me and i have been here several times past 10pm bcuz thats the time that works...
Read moreAlways people walking their dogs, riding bikes, fishing in the ponds, jogging, playing disc golf, or just out for a stroll with their significant other while on vacation. This is a very active park, which is awesome and keeps it safe. Early in the morning and late at night you will get some bums sleeping under the ramadas around the park, but they NEVER bother anyone and keep to themselves. most of them are just sleeping off the alcohol or drugs for a few hours before they move on. its never the same bums, if there are any at all. also the police and park workers regularly drive though the park. this deters any foul activity or loitering. there is a splash pad on the north side of the park, as well as a doggy height and human height water fountains around the park. A small but important thing for some runners and bikers is that there are mile marker signs around the paths to let you know how far you have gone. Just to keep the motivation going every step. Sun almost everyday, and happy people that smile and say hello when you pass them on the walking paths. Its a great park for exercise in the mornings, a round of disc golf or just an evening stroll to...
Read moreMy family & I came to this park for the 1st time ever on Saturday May 11th 2024. What a beautiful quite place. The views here are beautiful. This park has it all! Disc golfing course, playground, fishing, walking/bike trail throughout, dog park, volleyball court & obviously restrooms. So you can do almost anything here. And... the best part is it's not a really busy park like other parks in the valley, it's like a hidden gem. The fishing here is awesome! You'll see fish jumping all morning & night here, catching them is another story lol. I caught 1 baby catfish & released him, maybe I'll get him back in a few years when he's bigger. Definitely a cool park go check it out, you won't be disappointed. We'll definitely be back from...
