This place is definitely as good as it gets!! First off, Top and Lucy are truly and sincerely, two people who are kind, gracious, and caring. My girlfriend and I had done some ring shopping in DTLA's jewelry district, and thought we found a good jeweler. He was. But he just wasn't what we needed as far as an engagement ring. It was a disaster- and Top has the "bad" ring as proof. I stumbled across Top and Lucy when I bought a pair of diamond earrings in DTLA for my gf, and I wanted to make sure they were real. When I walked into BCJ, I just kneeew that those are what engagement rings- any piece of fine jewelry- are supposed to look like. The detail and brilliance was amazing. I went home and told my gf that we needed to come check out BCJ. Needless to say, she was just as impressed as myself. We were floored at the difference in the quality of the setting we had already bought, and the rings Top made. I mean the detail on Top's rings are undeniable. My gf and I, are a same-sex couple. But it didn't seem to phase Top or Lucy at all. They helped us and treated us like everyday people. My ring is the most amazing, gorgeous, detail of beauty and love I have ever seen. You would think Top was making it for his own wife or daughter. I feel like BCJ is our best kept secret. I can't imagine the thousands and thousands of dollars that people spend on name brand rings unnecessarily- just because it's name brand. Top and Lucy are genuinely interested in giving you the most amazing piece of jewelry ever. They are willing to work with whatever situation you have- as he did with us when we had already bought the not so great setting in DTLA. Top is patient and really listens to every single detail you explain. My ring turned out better than I even imagined/exceeded my expectations. My ring has a life of it's own. Everywhere I go, people compliment it- and many can't believe it's an engagement ring- they think it's my wedding ring lol I highly recommend them for any and all occasions. Their work is gorgeous...

I discovered this place while shopping for my engagement ring and I don't regret a single decision about choosing this place. Top and Lucy were more than incredible when getting the ring. Let's just say that the experience was so great, I didn't even visit the store until I picked up the actual ring!

Top did an amazing job creating a custom engagement ring; all I had to do was e-mail him of a picture that Jeannine (who works at the store from time to time) had helped me find and all I had to do was sit back and relax. I told him my price range - no problem - and he even got me a diamond that I never thought I could afford. He also adjusted the original concept of the ring to make it even better (ie: this style ring didn't sell well because _ )!! They also were very flexible in how I wanted to pay for the ring.

In conclusion, I am never going to another store when it comes to purchasing an important ring. And I am also referring all my other buddies who are planning to propose,...

This is my first review ever, and after my experience today it is totally justified. The owners of Beach City, Top and Lucy, are just incredible. They are the most genuine, transparent, whole hearted people in the whole industry. I bought my wife’s ring there 4 years ago and it couldn’t of come out any better. This year I decided to upgrade it and they delivered to perfection. They designed and built the perfect ring to my wife’s picky standards and it was just perfect. The quality of work they do there is top tier and I just can’t say enough about them and their business. I will never get jewelry anywhere else as long as they are open. Now I just have to find a car mechanic of the same standards….....
