Old Ranch Town Center — Attraction in Seal Beach

Nearly 3 decades ago this retail center sprung up where a grove of trees existed for many years along the eastside of Seal Beach Boulevard near 405 Fwy. Though ingress/egress still needs to be improved, the stores themselves have thrived over the years. Anchored by Ralph's and Target, there are many chain stores and restaurants that I frequent on a regular basis. And now with a modernized Shops Of Rossmoor across the Boulevard, you have 2 centers that cater to most daily needs (though I miss the old movie theater). If they added a Costco in the spacious "never-any-cars" rear parking lot of SoR, I would probably never shop anywhere else. Omg, I could hardly believe just how crowded Ralph's was Saturday morning when I went there. Ralph's has updated their hours of operation, so now they are open from 7 am to 10 pm daily. But they open up early daily to allow the more vulnerable customers a chance to shop without large crowd, & for them it is 6 am to 7:30am.

Well, I didn't get there at 6 am, like I really wanted to, but it was even worse than I thought it would be. I guess there are a whole lot of us...

The customer service line was super slow two people are on when I first walked up to the line and then one person walked away even though there was still a super long line not helping the people so I waited there in line for another 10 minutes while one lady was helping someone with a large order of Returns on one register and the other girl just stood there doing go back or whatever it was she was doing not helping the people they need to do better at that customer...
