Most days this park is great. I go 2-3 times a week and I've gotten to know regulars with their dogs that go around the same time as well. Earlier today, I got jumped by an aggressive dog I haven't seen before (unprovoked). I had my back turned, as I was focusing and playing with my own two dogs, and this large pit bull ran up and attacked me from behind and bit my backside, luckily he only managed to grab onto my jacket. I didn't realize what was happening until after he let go and then ran off to nip at the arm of another nearby person. The owner had zero control over his dogs and didn't even apologize when he witnessed his dog terrorizing the humans in the park. This pit was mostly white w/ dark gray/black spotting. The owner additionally had another white/tan spotted pit bull plus a small breed mixed dog-- if owner reads-- you should not bring your untrained dogs to a dog park if you have no means or understanding on how to control them. For others reading, the park is great but always be cautious. I've witnessed a few aggressive dog situations for dog fights on occasion when they get overstimulated, but this is the first time I've ever experienced a dog being aggressive to a human with me as a...
Read moreGreat Dog park. Too bad there is an ugly atmosphere with what seems to be some of the regulars. They think the dog park is something in their own back yard where they can dictate who should be able too be there and who shouldn't. Hello, people...its a public park! Some people come there because it's a place for them to enjoy a few peaceful moments in their busy lives. So who wants to go there to hear some old bitty talking ugly stuff about other people and their dog? It happens all the time I see a certain few of the bigger/older women there. You women have a problem with someone's dog and instead going g over respectfully and talking to the owner, you start talking 'about them" (where they can clearly hear you) to other people. I guess you are trying to make them feel uncomfortable, and perhaps to rally up support for your exclusion beliefs. So ugly of you. It's obvious you dont have a life and this is the highlight of your day. Read a book on manners or maybe just dont go/stay away when there is a dog there that you dont like. Plenty of people do that when they see you...
Read moreThe park itself is pretty nice. It's not very wide but it is long. They have poop bag stations, plenty of trash cans and water stations for the dogs as well as seating areas for people spread out in the park. My issue with it is the last few times I've gone, it has nothing to do with the park but with the people that go. I've had situations where people let their dogs run all around without supervising them and their dogs have gotten aggressive with mine. Or they are watching them but have no control of their dog. Just today, I had my dogs on a leash trying to leave the park and two separate dogs attacked mine without provaction, and the owners just yelled at their dog, which did nothing to help the situation. The park is nice, but I wish people had more control over their pets and would only bring properly socialized dogs to the park or otherwise keep them leashed if there is any doubt with...
