Seattle's Chinatown-International District, while a destination I had looked forward to exploring, unfortunately fell short of expectations, leaving me with a mixed impression. Anticipating an experience akin to the vibrant and bustling Chinatowns like the one in San Francisco, I was instead met with an atmosphere that felt markedly different. As the day transitioned to evening, the area began to feel increasingly uneasy, detracting significantly from the overall experience.
My visit was brief, primarily due to the growing sense of discomfort as night approached. While I did manage to enjoy some delicious coconut buns, the sketchiness of the surroundings overshadowed what I had hoped would be a more engaging and pleasant exploration.
