Very beautiful building! I'm glad they didn't demolish the entire Chinatown/International District to build this station, like they did with LA's --just maybe part of it to make way. Still though, it's good to have a nexus for public transportation, and it's really nice to be able to admire an architectural feat that this building is. Read moreBeautiful building architectural design is really impressive for the era. The building itself is in remarkable condition. The inside is clean but has a sketchy feeling to it. Lots of people around that look homeless. Walking up to the building is a real sketchy thing. Homeless people everywhere with the smell of urine is everywhere. There are lots of people with a police presence so I don't worry about issues it's just not a comfortable situation walking around at times. As a visitor, there does not appear to be anything to see or do here anymore, other than to take photos. Although perhaps you don't have to do much. One could simply take a seat and try to imagine the hubbub that the station experienced in its heydays before regular train services ceased only 60 years after the building was opened.
