Seattle Ice Cream Cruise — Attraction in Seattle

I’ve done the Ice Cream Cruise twice now—once with my partner and once with family— a sweet little tradition. The one-hour boat ride starts from Fisherman’s Terminal and meanders its way to Lake Union, giving you a relaxing, narrated tour with plenty of classic Seattle views along the way.

Downstairs, you’ll find a cheerful staff and a selection of novelty ice cream treats—because what’s a cruise without a orangesicle or Drumstick? It’s well-priced, low-key, and the perfect outing for families with young kids (or adults with short attention spans) who might not last through a longer tour.

In short: boats, ice cream, and no risk of mutiny from bored passengers....

We love this cruise! They have upper and lower indoor deck so it’s perfect for any weather year round. Dog friendly is a big plus as well. The captain and crew member are always so welcoming and friendly. For a 45 minutes boat ride you get a nice view of Lake Union, city skyline, Space Needle, Gas Work park, learn lots of interesting facts about Seattle history, while sipping on a root beer float?! Perfect!

This was far more cruise and far less ice cream than I had pictured and 100% a great time! This is a fun time for the whole family because the kids will love being on a boat and enjoying ice cream while the adults will enjoy the tour given by the boat captain (as well as the ice cream and boat aesthetic).
