I’ve been going to this place for a few years now and I used to love it. I always get long nails and my nail lady, Ni, would do me up PROPER. I loved he creativity. I wood always pay between $100-$130 depending on the design and bling. Unfortunately, she left. My first time there without her was A DISASTER!!! They didn’t have anyone who does long designs and they did a horrible job matching colors. It was the end of day when I went and they even refused to put bling on my nails because they needed to close up. It was rude to have me sitting there as she is standing up putting on her coat as my nails are drying. They charged me WAY MORE than what my nails usually cost too. When I confronted them on the phone the next day, I was rudely told to come into the shop the next day. When I got there I immediately noticed that they put up a BRAND NEW price board on the wall. I didn’t say anything to the manger to see if she was going to be honest about jacking up the price and over charging me. She lied straight to my face defending the price I was charged two nights previously. I WILL NEVER GO THERE again! Service received: Basic Spa Pedi , eye brow wax, Long nail with design no bling. Total $185. Currently seeking...
Read moreEver since my apartment was torn down in Ballard two years ago I've been out on a frustrating scavenger hunt to find a new nail salon that could possibly replace the salon below my apartment. Many of the places I visited had one or two talented nail technicians, but were so overwhelmed with traffic that my nails were often at the mercy of whomever was free. Jenny nail salon is a very close second, but I have to hand it to Peony— they know how to grate foot cheese and smooth it over so your feet don't cause chalk-board friction on your blanket when you have insomnia— I got my first SNS manicure today and I have to note that the technician was meticulous, knowledgable, and competent. When I go to a salon for aesthetic services I am looking for a salon that will get the job done. I'm not concerned with whether or not the staff was bending over backwards to validate my insecurities while they are hunched over my feet. Peony is on top of their game and I am so glad I found a new home salon in...
Read moreWhat an awful experience. First off, I got my dip nails done on Valentine’s Day and I kid you not, it started chipping WITHIN 48 hours!! How ridiculous is that! I was out of town and couldn’t go in right away but gave them a call within a week and went in for them to “fix it”. At this point every nail was chipped in a corner or up to half the nail was broken off. The ladies all look at it and decide it’s best to remove them and replace it. Any sane person knows that a dip manicure usually lasts 2 weeks at the very minimum but mine have always lasted 3-3.5 weeks. They proceed to redo my nails and all for the amazing discount of $5-10 off. I was blown away. I did not come in to have my nails redone, I came in to have the shoddy work they did originally corrected. Safe to say I wouldn’t recommend this poor business model to anyone, and I will clearly not...
