Die tolle, zweigleisige Eisenbahnbrücke ist eine Fachwerkbrücke mit integrierter Klappbrücke von J. B. Strauss. Anfang der 1900er Jahre hatte J. B. Strauss ein neues Modell einer Klappbrücke mit oberen Gegengewicht entwickelt und wurde zu einem führenden Experten für bewegliche Brücken. Bekannt wurde er mit seinem Entwurf der Golden Gate Bridge in den 1920er Jahren.
