Rude rude rude when I was trying to decide and asking for opinions, ended up having the whole thing removed, do not recommend.
I did not say no right away, was just trying to find the exact same colors that look like the picture I want and asking for his opinions as well and he was being impatient and cut me mid conversation and seemed grumpy the whole time I was there, and idk if he was mad about the fact that I booked the wrong appointment for extension. and then later he then said he didn’t want to do this anymore when I was choosing the gem for the last step because he was rushing for the next appointment which I understood. I tried to explain that I didn’t say no to his suggestions I just didn’t think that was the right color, and wanted to look like the pictures more, and he seemed impatient and then said that my English is bad ? (I lived in US for 8 years and went to school and work here I think my English is fine) I never said I don’t want to pay, I think he somehow jumped to the conclusion that I don’t want to pay after he said he didn’t want to do this anymore because he had another client afterwards and then said want to call the police if I don’t pay, I should just let the police come tbh now thinking back. He said sth like some people just come in got the same color they don’t want and request a refund and he prob just thinks I am going to do the same. He was the one who said didn’t want to continue this session when I had last step and then expected me to be on and pay for the full service ? Later I then had no mood so decided to just remove it and pay for 80 dollar for nothing basically. I don’t know what’s going on in his day but I don’t think anyone deserves such treatment.
I think he knew the color was not right and he could have told me not do it or just helped me pick one that’s more similar to it, but the whole time I felt like he was being impatient when I just tried to ask for questions. I don’t think this is a service that customers deserve tbh. He was then nice for a while after we decided to remove it and I will pay, and I said so see I don’t think you are being rude now, I just felt like you were kinda rude earlier, he then continued to be upset again… anyway, don’t think anyone deserves such treatment and I have never run into anything like this before
This place appears in every Reddit comment for good nails and then got 500 good reviews, and the Reddit posts are closed for comments after the comment for recommending this place. I start to doubt this place’s good reviews tbh, seems like bot or sth, if you look at other salons’ reviews(quantity and quality), you don’t get some bad reviews (in the past) for being rude to customers and then start to have tons of reviews saying how friendly they are to customers. Just seems suspicious after I thought about it.
I am not coming back to this place ever, anyone thinking to come here just be aware of the fact I am not making...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: Noting that the owner responds to negative reviews unprofessionally—there’s proof of that below and on numerous other negative reviews from this month/year. In direct response to the comment left on mine: the issues were (1) causing me physical pain, (2) ruining the shape of my nails, and (3) rudeness—which continues in the owner’s response. I said I didn’t mind that there wasn’t time for a design. ALSO: this shop appears to audio/video record its patrons to respond to negative reviews. Prior responses reference specific conversations and “seeing the camera”. Yikes.
I won’t ever be going back to Vybrant after my most recent experience—and this is coming from a loyal customer. I booked an appointment for 3:45 on 12/3, and from the moment I walked in, the tech was extremely rude. I asked if I could do a simple design, and she said no; she didn’t have the time. That’s fair, honestly, especially during the holidays. But things went downhill quickly. For example: my hands and nails were in pure acetone for 20 minutes. That’s not normal, and it’s super painful. I had to ask to remove them after it got too bad to continue. Then, I only got two coats of dip. I’ve had dip manicures for four years every four weeks—and I have always have three coats minimum, regardless of the tech. This tech refused to do a third, then argued with me about my preferences. She even told me that I need to “special request” a third coat before my appointment going forward. Seriously? As a result of too little dip, my nails are flimsy and have virtually no color (you can even see the tips of my nails as if this were a French manicure). The tech later added an extra top coat to “fix” the fact that she didn’t use enough dip—but that just made my nails lumpy and uneven. In addition to all that, my nails aren’t even all cut to the same length. I’ve attached photos, and you can see that they’re altogether uneven, have no discernible color (was supposed to be a light pink), and are pocked with lumps/divots. Over the course of the service, the tech also nicked my cuticles and the pads of my fingers (?!) with her drill bit. Given how rude she was and how awful my nails look, I’m upset I had to pay the added 20% gratuity (though honestly this wasn’t worth the base $65 in the first place). I won’t be coming back, and I will be telling my friends—who I recommended try Vybrant in the first place—not to return. So...
Read moreI had a really unfortunate experience at this salon today. I wanted to come in for a pedicure with a friend today so we called to make an appointment - they said you have to book online (weird, but ok) so I tried to book for 2 pedi’s but it wouldn’t let me do that online so I booked a regular and deluxe at 4 and 430 and then called again and asked for them both to be two regular pedicures at the same time and they switched it, or so I thought.
We came in and the place was completely empty on a weekend afternoon. They had a nice selection of polish colors. My friend and I sat down and chatted while the two ladies did our pedicures. From start to finish we both were done in 40 minutes, which I already found to be quite short and the whole pedicure felt rushed. Our nail techs did not talk to us at all, ask if we liked it, etc. I had selected a very light blue polish and my toes turned out to be robin’s egg blue which is not what I selected but I thought ok whatever I like this color too it’s no big deal.
We go to checkout and I could not believe the prices. My friend’s regular pedicure was $54 (outrageous) and they make you pay a 20% tip which was included in that total price. I checked out and she told me my bill was $90. I could not believe it. I said how is it $90? And she said I was billed for a deluxe pedicure because that was what was on my appointment, although when I talked to them the second time before coming in they said my appointment was changed to 2 regular pedicures. So I asked what was deluxe about the pedicure I just got and she couldn’t give me a real answer. She said the hot stones, and mind you the hot stones were so brief I didn’t even see them because they were the same time as the towel. 30 seconds of hot stones, TOPS. Other than that everything was exactly the same as my friend who got the regular pedicure and we were done at the same time even with me getting gel polish. LOL. I have been to many nail salons in Seattle area and have never been charged anything close to NINETY dollars for a mediocre 40 minute pedicure with shellac polish. Typically $50 or so for that service. They didn’t even say thank you when we left. No drinks offered, nothing.
No wonder the salon was empty on a...
