*update 4/28/2025 I used the app again to order a prescription refill, when you use the app it has you choose from available times to pick up the prescription. I arrived at the drive thru pickup, had to call the teller 3 times before they answered. They did not have my refill ready and I was told they would need about 2 hours to fill it. Why do they even have an app? I don’t think I’ve ever picked up a prescription here without there being something that’s goes wrong. Prescriptions are never ready at the times they say and I’ve even received someone else’s medication before.
*update 3/26/2025 I used the app to order a prescription refill. Shortly after I received a message from my doctor that there are no refills for this prescription. So Hy-Vee made a mistake again. I called them and spoke to a person that identified as Shannon Anderson (spelling of name may not be correct) who was very rude, was condescending, and told me I had to call to do anything with their pharmacy because the app doesn't work.
update 2/27/25 I called the pharmacy to pick up an order that my doctor sent to them, they told me it would be ready within 15 minutes. I showed up an hour later and was told that the prescription was not ready due to a system error. No apology.
*update 8/13/24 * Here’s the Hy-Vee problem solving method. Respond on comments asking people to please reach out to their customer care email. If you waste your time emailing them you will be told that someone else from the store will contact you. Maybe that person will know somebody that gives a dam. I downloaded the Hy-Vee app as recommended by a Hy-Vee employee. I used it to place a prescription refill. I was able to select a date and time to pick up my order. The order was placed on Saturday, for a Monday pickup. I arrived at the designated time and was told that they could/would not fill the prescription.
There was NO COMMUNICATION from Hy-Vee that they couldn't/wouldn't do what they said they would.
So I wasted a lot of time and gas on something that could have been avoided with a simple email or phone call.
This pharmacy has also given me other people's prescriptions in the past, as well as charged me for items that have a zero copay. If you have any other options to use other than this place, it would have to be a better choice and experience...
Read moreThis is a fantastic pharmacy with a caring staff. Kevin and Jake are the pharmacists I normally speak to and they are wonderful. They go out of their way to make sure your scripts are filled on time. Indura is one of the techs who helps me and she is always so kind and helpful. I went thru breast cancer treatment and had a lot of meds and med changes and this pharmacy always stepped up to help me. If there ever was a problem it was due to insurance and not the pharmacy. All pharmacies have been going thru staff changes and shortages, but the HyVee pharmacy in Shakopee still steps up and does their best. When I went to CVS or Walgreens the staff treated me like I was just a number and didn’t seem to care if I received my meds or not. There always seemed to be a computer glitch as to why my scripts were never received so I switched to HyVee and I’m so grateful that I did! No pharmacy is going to be perfect, but at least the HyVee pharmacy in Shakopee tries their best and cares about the customer. Highly recommend...
Read moreThe main pharmacist (Kevin?) is nice and helpful but I gotta say that it seems like there's just a constant dumpster fire going on with everyone else in there. Similar to how I feel about the store as a whole. Even when it appears slow, I'm waiting for help or any type of communication. My prescriptions don't even get filled unless I call or wait several days which maybe is the norm for Minnesota, I'm not sure...
Asked a question and sat down and waited for over 10 minutes before I got up and left. The person who initially helped me said he was waiting on one of the pharmacists to help but never got back to me and of the 5 people behind the desk, none of them asked what I was waiting on. I'm not even sure the person at the register asked my question about a prescription we were waiting on.
Just doesn't seem like there's any communication and it causes longer wait times for everyone. Staff isn't rude by any means just seems like everyone is in training...
