Straight after work, night shift, my boyfriend and I impulsively went thrifting around. I found a cute pretty dress I had wanted to put on. I spent $100 worth of items. During check out, I asked the cashier for the bathroom key to change clothes.
A different worker followed me into the bathroom but I didn’t think anything of it. She had explosive diarrhea, but I just minded my business wanting to quickly get out of my work clothes and put on this dress, then head to the next door. I walk out of the stall and I’m completely surrounded by 3 women, asking me if I had paid for my clothing items, accusing me of stealing. I was in complete shock and said my boyfriend who was waiting in the hall- had the receipt.
They followed me to my boyfriend, other shoppers stared. We showed the receipt, and they let us go.
I have never been accused of stealing anywhere. I was completely HUMILIATED. Accused of stealing from a thrift store?! After I just spent an honest $100?! I tried to call a manager about my experience because honestly, I don’t even want any of these items anymore. No answer, ignored.
All because some nosey lady with diarrhea assumed things, I bawled, crying so hard the entire drive home, feeling devalued because I was accused of stealing from a thrift store.
I will never return to another thrift store in my life due to this experience. Shame on that woman for...

To be frank, a lot of the items in this store look like they could easily go straight to the dump (especially the hard goods and electronics), but yet they are charging premium prices. I've read the canned response from management about how they try to "price each item competitively" and "do not always get it right," but give me a break. You can do better. You're getting all this stuff for free. These are used items and should be priced accordingly. I'm really surprised they sell enough to stay in business. I'm providing photo examples of item prices that I thought were pretty ridiculous. Also, they are illegally trying to resell the free USPS boxes.
On other fronts, the store is large, the layout is adequate, and the staff is generally friendly. The store in general is pretty dirty, but not the worst thrift store I've seen. It does have one section in the back that looks like they just threw as much random crap on each shelf as they could before it collapses, so I'm not sure what they are going for with that disaster.
