I suggest reserving a table ahead of time but the wait was not long waited for about 10 minutes before seated. They do have a nice brunch alcoholic menu and a bacon medley as a shareable app. The bacon was covered with maple syrup so even though each piece was supposed to have its own unique season blended flavor the syrip really made it all blend together 1 was spicey but overall they all had that same maple flavor to them. Loosing the intention of a flavor blend that the menu describes. For this I give it a 4 out of 10. I had their coffee and was again underwhelmed the creamer tasted sour, and you have to ask for sugar as all they provide on the table is organic and stevia. The coffee itself had a sat taste to it. I give this a 1 out of 10. I ordered the French toast and it was not horrible it was cooked nicely. Though you can tell it's cooked on a grill where a lot of other items are cooked. Because I got a suprise every few bites. Hints of banana on one Bite, a feature in one of their specialty pancakes. Some avocado on another bite, which I will say they may be accidently onto somthing the flavor combo of this accidental combination was kinda amazing even if it was not intended. The berry compote that's a combination of blueberries, blackberries and dragonfruit maybe was far too sweet and i didn't take more than 1 Bite mixed in the French toast. Overall I give their French toast a 6 out of 10 for the mystery flavor suprises. Ordered the biscuits n gravy their meat base is a turkey. There scrambled eggs were good give them a 7 out of 10, the potatoes were pre made and had onions im alergic so I was unable to enjoy them and when asked if I could have some without, explained that they do not make fresh potatoes as again. They are pre-made. That suprised me because they advertise a lot of fresh made options. Overall I give this dish a 5 out of 10. The atmosphere was nice 8 out of 10. And the service was good with a 7 out of 10. Not for me, but be the judge for yourself.

My grandparents only dine here once a year - specifically when the pumpkin pancakes are in season. We ate here on the morning of halloween and were told the pumpkin pancakes were "no longer in season." Correct me if I'm wrong but pumpkin foods are usually enjoyed throughout the 3 food based holidays at the end of the year? To end the serving of this dish, even before the day of halloween is ludicrous. We each ordered a side of the "million dollar bacon" -extra crispy. The dish has a very bold name for some bacon thats got a little cracked pepper and a drizzle of syrup on it, and all 3 plates came out limp! We had to get all new plates of bacon. My lemon curd pancakes were nice though, the flavor reminded me of lemon bars with powdered sugar dusted on top. I'm surprised strawberries were the "in-season fruit" chosen to top my pancakes though. The waitress was nice enough when she could stop by. There were times when we would sit, waiting for her to come back so we could ask for water or napkins or what have you. It was busy so I understand, but we did feel forgotten more often than not. My grandparents agreed they will not be coming back if the treasured pumpkin pancakes will not be supplied when they should. I don't live anywhere near here, so I won't have a reason to come back either.

I'm very disappointed. Ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich. This item comes with 1 egg (you can add extra egg for $3.72), bacon, smashed avocado, and arugula with their dressing and mayo. There was 1/2 teaspoon of avocado and a small amount of potatoes. It would have been nice if the bread was toasted. This item cost roughly $18.00. I am vegetarian, so I didn't order bacon, and one would think that without the meat, it should be cheaper. As a vegetarian, It is unfair that we have to pay the regular price of an item without meat. The serving sizes are smaller, and the potatoes are always hard and undercooked. This place is overrated.

As a mom, (aka Mrs. Guthrie here), I enjoy First Watch Shawnee's atmosphere because it's pleasant for adults (for friends & business) and also welcoming for families with children. This is one place that every age in our family enjoys. (Today, ages 6 - 76.) Our family has dined here twice in the past week & we can't wait to come back. As we entered today, the beautiful young hostess welcomed us by name! Our server was Shelby and she's lovely inside & out. Shelby took the most excellent care of us. She shared that she's been on staff for 3 years & I have no doubt that the future ahead of her is bright. When I complimented Shelby on her fabulous service, she was quick to also compliment her co-workers. It doesn't take long to figure out that this is a terrific team overall. Today, I met the manager. (Also named Bryan.) He came by our table to make sure how our dining experience was going. I know he was very busy, yet he took time to give extra attention to my seniorly father's conversation and questions. That was incredibly kind. No wonder my Dad loves to come here when he's in town. And of course, our meals were delicious! My father enjoyed the traditional breakfast that included little cubed potatoes cooked just right, scrambled eggs, & a nice portion of delicious ham steak. My children enjoyed a big chocolate chip pancake & the turkey sandwich child's plate. My husband ordered an egg plate with avocado, bacon, & hash, and he said it's one of his all time favorite dishes. I enjoyed every bite of my chicken salad melt (open-face). And let's talk about FruiT! ! Oh...my... deliciousness! All 3 adults commented on how beautiful, fresh and tasty the fruit was. My bowl of fruit looked like a masterpiece of colorful art & tasted heavenly. I should note that while ramikin servings of fruit contain a little sampling, a bowl of fruit is plenty big enough for 2. And a cup is a great serving for 1. This was the widest variety of fruit that I've ever had, anywhere! Included were delicious pineapples, crispy fresh red apples, gorgeous strawberry slices, perfect honeydue melon, red grapes, freshly cut banana slices, & sweet green kiwi. If First Watch caters fruit trays, I can't imagine a better one anywhere else in town! I wish I had taken a photo to post. Yummy & gorgeous. Today's scores are an A+ for all 5 meals and a super A+ to Manager Bryan, Server Shelby, the beautiful hostess at the front stand (who is so professional she could handle any job, anywhere). I'll add a little p.s. that the coffee is strong enough for all of you $tarbuck$ lovers. I'm a coffee wimp & tamed mine with 3 flavored creams. My kids want me to ask for thinner bread for their kids' sandwiches instead of the thick, beautiful slices used on kids meals. (I promised I would.) And that brings me to our exit where we were again greeted by the beautiful hostess. Is your name Selena? I'm so sorry that I can't recall your name for sure, because you smiled & addressed me by name twice. But I will never forget how professionally & kindly you handled another situation that we saw as we left. There was a customer with an illness, and your poise in that situation deserves an award. You represent everything that is right with this First Watch. Thank you for inspiring me today, & thank you to First Watch for making today with family (kids, parents, & grandpa) so...

Words can’t explain how appreciative I was of the service I had at this specific first watch. My wife and I frequent First Watch when we are down south, as we are from up North! On this certain occasion I was in with some friends and had asked for my usual Iced Coffee (which absolutely normally adore!). That morning it was made a little to strong with the syrup. I had a slight panic attack as I have been sober 4 years and running. I had all my friends try it as well to make sure it wasn’t just me. To me, and them as well, it had tasted as if it was a little spiked. Alarmingly, I asked the waitress if it had Alcohol in it. She assured me it wasn’t, and before I could even ask for another one the management came over and assured me that it was not spiked, and offered to make me a new one. Unknowingly, our original waitress was already in the middle of making me a new one as well. When it was all said and done I ended up being blessed with a well handcrafted iced coffee.

I say this with mighty confidence, and for anyone reading that (I AM NOT AT ALL A HIGH CLASS, or HIGH MAINTENANCE INDIVIDUAL) I most definitely was not expecting them to do this.

My visit today confirms even much more why I love this fine establishment. I’ve worked retail my entire life, and highly appreciate great customer service.

To the management: I am extremely thankful for the way you guys handled the situation this morning, and did not expect that. Thank you for your...
