Spent the day over at Splash Cove in Shawnee, KS! Our littles and us had a blast. This park is really good for little kiddos (except the big slide). Theres a small pool, playground with a dumping bucket, and even a wave pool! There was a concession stand and no outside food was allowed (even though we snuck some in!). Go spend the day with your family for $10 a person! #pool #summer #thingstodo #thingstodoinkc #thingstodoinkcwithkids #toddler #mom #toddlermom #kcmom #kansascity #shawnee #kc #kck #kc

Splash Cove in Shawnee Mission is a hidden gem when it comes to family friendly water fun. We visited on a particularly hot summer afternoon, and it absolutely delivered everything we needed for a full day of enjoyment. From the moment we arrived, we noticed how clean and well maintained everything was. The water features are perfect for all ages, from the zero entry pool and lazy river to the big water slide that kept our older kids entertained for hours. There are plenty of shaded areas, and the layout of the park makes it easy to keep track of everyone without feeling crowded. One thing that really stood out was the attentiveness of the lifeguards. They were extremely alert, professional, and rotated regularly so you could tell safety is a top priority. It was very reassuring as a parent to know my kids were in a secure environment. Surprisingly, the pizza at the concession stand was actually really good, crispy, cheesy, and hot! There were other classic snack options as well, and everything was reasonably priced for a family outing. We grabbed a few drinks, nachos, and soft pretzels, and it was more than enough to keep the whole crew fueled and happy between swimming sessions. Overall, Splash Cove is a great place to beat the heat, spend quality time with family, and let the kids burn off some energy. Whether you’re floating in the lazy river or enjoying lunch poolside, this is an easy win for a summer afternoon. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Visited today 6/18/2021 around 1pm. Great place for children. My kids (4yr and 2yr) were wearing life jackets with vests that have arm bands which helped them alot. I did see people either renting or buying life jackets at the front desk. I believe the deepest end i saw was about 4ft. There's is a mini wave pool. A full body slide. It has a complete interactive playground with a big conch shell that you can get soaked under. Family changing rooms. Restrooms/Showers. Party cabana (this was not being occupied so based on what i saw, anyone was able to sit there). They have a concession but it was completely closed when i got there and they never opened it. Good thing i had taken some snacks in my bag. Eating or drinking anything on a lounge chair is not allowed, they will tell you to eat at the tables by the concession.

I came with my two children today walked in paid the $30 and then within 3 minutes decided we needed to come back this weekend instead. We didn’t get in the pools and didn’t unpack the bags. Literally just walked in turned around and walked out. I asked if we could get a refund or passes to come this weekend instead. The boys at the front got the manager from the office. She came out and told me that they don’t do refunds but that she would give me day passes to come back this weekend. After going back to the office to supposedly get the passes she came out and said “sorry we don’t have any” to which I said “uh ok so you’re just gonna keep the $30 and not give me passes?” And she said yes lol. She had an attitude and apparently was just the “manager” so she couldn’t do anything about it, which is absolutely ridiculous. So instead of getting the couple hundred dollars they would have gotten from my family and I this summer they get to keep their $30 from today and we will never return. Good business practice guys, keep up the...

So I am super nervous about my kids being around water, but this place made me feel comfortable. There are enough lifeguards to watch every inch of this park and they even do some sort of crab walk that they do along the edge of the kidie section to make sure they can see everything. They are also pretty consistent about enforcing all the rules in the kidie section despite all the eye rolls that they received from other Moms which I truly think is awesome. Too many places are lax about the rules when Mom says it is ok and then other kids get hurt. The kidie section is awesome with several slides for even the youngest of toddlers plus one for the older kids/ several spray guns off of a neat play structure in six inch to one foot of water and a kidie wave pool only goes to 2 ft deep and has shaded sections in the water. Most of the park has 2ft or less water but it does go to 4ft in some places so be aware. Can not imagine a better park for the toddler, preschool, and...
