Amazing and helpful owners and employees that watch out for their customers and keep the atmosphere great, laid back, friendly, and welcoming for everyone that comes in no matter their age or appearance. They encourage good sportsmanship and aren't afraid to straighten out people that are being a jerk when/if that happens. Helpful when you're looking for a game and will recommend games if you don't know what you're looking for and teach you how to play the game right there and you can even rent the game to try it out. Always fair prices on everything even single cards where other shops jack up prices for singles. I'm there every Friday that I can make for Magic the Gathering and have fun with the other customers and it always feels more like hanging out with friends than a competition for the most part. If you have questions they'll always listen to you, answer you to the best of their abilities, and if they're not sure about something they'll direct you to someone who does know or find out for you. Definitely an above and beyond place to hang out at and be apart of, they're there more for you than your wallet unlike most...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely overpriced magic the gathering sealed products. It's on par with scalpers at a taylor swift concert. Draft sealed on Ravinia remastered is almost 100 dollars over market price and almost double price of collectors booster box. Absolutely absurd. I remember when their old store used to be on 8th and Lincoln and i brought in my own energy drink at an fnm, and the owner totally reamed me about bringing it into their store. Basically, scolding me for not buying their own drinks. Being the nice guy that i was, i apologized and even offered to pay for the drink that i already paid for just for the privilege of drinking it in their store; even then, she still wanted me to put it in my car. Now, i saw a poster that they charge an 8 dollar seat fee to play fnm, which they complain to customers that no one shows up. I wonder why. People need to be warned about this place. Do NOT shop here. It's not hyperbole to say that these prices are so much over market value that it's a scam....

My personal experience was that I overheard a customer checking out and the cashier wanted his name and email address and phone number to ākeep track of our customers.ā When he gave her this she started asking him if they went to middle school together. Thatās all well and good but I didnāt want to give out my information because I didnāt know what kind of situation would come up. They would not let me just pay for the product I wanted and instead needed my information so they could ākeep trackā of me. Maybe a skip button would be helpful so people who didnāt want to give out their information could still shop here. Anyway, I left and ordered what I needed online. Hard to support local when they make it mandatory to gather your information to shop with them.
Update: LOVE š¤ the passive aggressive comment mentioning my full name. Glad I didnāt give you my phone number...
