UPDATE from 5 star presale to 1 star after sale: Thursday Feb. 09, 2023 we purchased a Catnapper Reyes 240 Power Lay Flat Recliner Sofa 62401 SKU#180757 (SERIAL UNKNOWN) which was delivered to the store 2/16/2023. Store personnel promptly phoned and said it was in and ready for pickup.
Friday 2/17 we picked it up, brought it home. After hooking up power and testing it out, we found one side had a mechanical clunk in two spots while reclining and back. We immediately phoned the store and spoke with Cindy explaining the issue. She said she would give Jeff the message after he returned from a call.
Friday 2/24 one week after not hearing from anyone, I phoned the store again and spoke with Christin. Said claimed they received the message and that they were waiting to hear from an area manager. I asked why and how long before someone might get back to me. I was informed it could take two weeks or longer. I explained it had already been one week and asked how we do not know if it could be something simple like a loose bolt and if why someone might not just look at it before it got worse, or should I phone the manufacturer and ask if there is something I might be able to do. She then said that maybe Jeff could come out and look at it today. I said that I would really be great and made sure she had my cell phone number. (Our phone, address and email had been previously been documented).
Saturday 02/25/2023 we have had no phone call or visit and am wondering if service after the sale is something Farmers Home Furniture in Shelbyville does not offer, or if they are so busy that cannot take time to make a phone call. BTW: We only live approximately one mile from the store!
Sunday 02/26/2023 nothing, no contact and due to lack of service after the sale, we will be ordering the upright freezer from somewhere else. Sorry for Farmers Home Furniture fantastic sales person Cindy as she was the one that recommended the one we were going to purchase! I understand supply chain issues but if the battery was inoperable and it was missing another crucial part it should NOT have been available for sale in the first place! Look at my grass now! Update: The owner says below he wants to "Address this as soon as possible" but what they did was call me and demand payment on my loan! On a machine that DOESN'T RUN! so I paid it so they would pick it up and fix it. I've bought a bed, a washer and dryer and this mower from them and I swear as God is my witness I'll never set FOOT in that store again and will encourage others not to either! After 3 months of not receiving the part, the company he orders from never responded to his requests or emails. We were getting pretty upset since we couldn't use the recliner and Bo responded by fully replacing the recliner. Happy campers now.
