Kendrick Park is a Sheridan staple! The playground is a good size, has equipment for older kids and younger kiddos. The littlest playground is separate from the older kids playground which is nice so the little dont get trampled as the bigger kids are playing. They also have a place where you can get ice-cream (Wilcoxson's brand), drinks, and small snacks. There is a swimming pool at this park, however it is down this year for a complete overhaul. There is a little creek/ditch where the water is more shallow that kids can play in if you are looking for a water activity. The park is also dog friendly, but does need to be on a leash. There are walking paths which make walking your fluffy one easy. There are restrooms located here as well. They are in a separate building across from the littlest playground. Read moreThis is a great park. Building a new swimming pool that should be ready in 2026 The park has a big open grass area for games and such. Great toys. Multiple sections of toys for different ages. Different swings and height of slides. AND it has a stream that runs beside it that is setup for kids and adults to play in. Multiple areas to get in. One area that has sone sand. I do recommend water shoes as the bottom is all rocks. And it has bridge you can walk over. Has public restrooms.
Maybe the best part is the Scoops Icecream stand. It’s all real icecream that was delicious with lots of flavors!! The portions are very generous. And prices aren’t bad. And the servers are very nice. They take a card or cash.
Great park. You won’t be...
Read moreThis is a nice and large city park. It is bordered by the river and has a bridge and walkway so you can check it out. The playground area is nice and in very good condition. There is a large area for the younger kids with short slides, swings and a fire truck they can play in. The bigger kids also have a large playground with tall slides and equipment more age appropriate. The ice cream stand serves up the perfect cold treat for the hot summer days. Don't forget to check out the elk and Buffalo that live in the large fenced area with the barn as you exit the park. Definitely worth taking the family when...
