This Flemish Revival mansion is a treasure. If you love historic architecture, this is a must see! Self guided, but with informed staff onsite, you can really get a sense of life in this home because of the details on display that are of the family and the era. From basement to third floor, most of the home is accessible. (I would have loved to see the carriage house as well). Sheridan has a treasure in this nearly perfectly preserved home.

I highly recommend this site for a visit! As a huge history buff, and teacher, it was the perfect mix of facts and fun. There was so much to look at and secret little nooks that say "open me". The reading was light, easy but so very informative. The check in lady was sweet and knew the history of the building and family well. So many things to take photos of and just absolutely gorgeous.

Such an intriguing place to visit. My husband and I had our wedding photos taken here and they turned out amazing. Very reasonably priced to use as a venue. It’s also just a cool place to check out if you’re visiting. The grounds are amazing all year round. It’s super close to Kendrick Park too, along the walking path.

This building was amazing! The size, the woodwork, and the location and view were impressive. Walking in and around the house I couldn’t imagine the time and labor it took to create such an amazing place. And the fact that they almost tore it down in the 60’s. I highly recommend visiting.

This was an amazing place. I'm so glad we stopped and took a look arround. I would go back again if I get the opportunity. The furnishings are original to the home and give it an authenticity that I've never seen before. The self guided tour was worth every penny!

A wonderful place to visit. If you have difficulty walking or climbing stairs, this may not be the place for you. They do have an elevator for people with disabilities to use but it is still a lot of walking. Beautiful place!
