Nestled in the heart of Sheridan, Wyoming, the Mint Bar stands as a living testament to the town's history. With its doors open for over a century, this establishment exudes a timeless charm that's both captivating and inviting. As a part-time local and visitor for several years, I've had the privilege of witnessing its rich legacy unfold.
The Mint Bar's historical significance adds a layer of depth to every visit. It's as if the walls themselves whisper tales of the past, and the vintage ambiance transports you to a bygone era. The sense of continuity, despite the passing years, is something truly special.
The staff at the Mint Bar is a treasure in its own right. Having frequented this establishment for years, I've come to deeply appreciate the exceptional service they provide. From casual happy hours to getting work done on my computer, their attentiveness ensures that every visit is a productive and enjoyable one.
One of the things I adore about the Mint Bar is the pool table. Playing a game of pool there is a tradition I hold dear. Not only is it a fun activity, but it's also an avenue to connect with a diverse array of people passing through. Many of these encounters have blossomed into long-distance friendships, creating lasting connections.
Kat, the manager, embodies the heart and soul of the Mint Bar. Her unwavering dedication to customers and staff alike is evident in every interaction. Over the years, our rapport has blossomed into a genuine friendship that I cherish.
And let's not forget the iconic hats and shirts. Collecting them has become a cherished tradition for me, a tangible reminder of the memories created within these historic walls.

Eventhough I didn't get to order anything, the decor, what I saw of it, was interesting. I might try to revisit before leaving town.
I did return at noon on July 16th. So glad I did. The brands on the wall are super fascinating. Don't forget to look up. They are also on the ceiling. All the old rodeo pictures are great. Had the Cold Smoke on tap. Delicious. I normally don't drink beer in the US; reserving the pleasure only for when I travel in Asia and Latin America countries. Just me thing. Maybe I should extend the delight to my US cross-crountry travels. 🤔🤭 They are still a 5 star establishment! I will return if I'm ever in...

On my visits, I usually order a Wyoming Whiskey (highly recommend ) and take in that authentic Old West vibe. From the knobby wood interior, branding irons, and taxidermy décor — this place truly feels like you are stepping back in time.
I’ve been to countless bars, taverns, juke joints, honky tonks and dive bars across the country, but The Mint Bar is in a class of its own. Sheridan boasts 46 buildings on the National Registry of Historic Places, but none feel more legendary to me than this spot.
For me, it’s the go-to bar whenever I’m in town. A true cowboy watering hole with over 118 years of history poured into...
