I have been coming to this shop since I was a little girl. That's a 30+ year time frame.
Went with my mom the other day and I bought her some glassware for her birthday. So I was standing next to her at the register. They were talking about the pretty glassware is and the cashier pipes up out of the blue about how "millennials don't entertain or like guests like we do" to my mother. I dont know what age exactly she thought I was to make that statement, but I'm technically in that age group. I don't live under a rock. I know about the nonsense online stuff about generational hate but this is real life. Get a grip on reality. Please watch who ya'll hire. My mom and I are nice people and walked out. This has never happened before. The staff have always been nice before this.
Otherwise, I love this building. It's 3 floors and there is a public restroom available. Parking is usually very easy. It's unfortunate that they got rid of the little museum upstairs but I guess they need the room for...
Read moreI use to love this anitque mall and have spent $$$$. I had my mom drive in from over an hour away just to shop here today. We walk in and were asked to put our bags into lockers ( which I get ). However once we started walking around, I noticed every single group in their had bags, some bigger than mine. My mother and I were 100% profiled. I went in today with full intentions of spending money but will no longer support this establishment. I let the works know on the way out that several people had bags but weren’t asked to put them into lockers. Very disappointed. I’m not upset that we were asked to put our bags into lockers. As a small business owner myself, I get it. I’m upset that we were THE ONLY ONES IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING that were asked to put our bags into lockers and were treated lower than or as if we went in with...
Read moreI spent a couple hrs at the Touch of Class Antique Mall in downtown Sherman the week before Christmas. There are 3 floors of lots of really amazing and hodgepodge stuff - collectibles of dolls, super heroes, a whole side on a floor of records, clothing, furniture, jewelry, dishes, vintage signs and lots of unusual finds. Well worth the visit. I did buy a couple items and plan to go back. Perfect for those of us who love to go look for cool stuff to decorate our homes, give to likewise friends and loved ones, or just got to have. I will almost guarantee that you will find an item you can't live without. I had to have my very own...
